Lexa's POV
After that day, I hadn't spoke to Clarke. We would pass each other at times, our eyes would meet for a split second before I would look away. Love is weakness. I had to get away from Clarke. She's weakening me, it's scary.
---
"Lexa.." Costia smirked, walking over to me and snaking her arms around my waist, pulling me close.
"What..." I grumbled, sheets of multiple papers lay out on Costia's desk, I agreed to stopping at her place since I felt guilty for not seeing her in a bit. But, now that Clarke was out of the way, I was able to see her. Though, I was still caught up on my work. The meeting with the clans, which we had to reschedule due to the attack, didn't go well. Since word came out of Nia's attack, laws were declared as broken. A truce was suggested, which of course Nia waved off before angrily leaving the room, shouting of death threats and war.
"You should take a break" She whispered in my ear, a hand sneaking its way into my pants.
"Costia-" I warned, she rolled her eyes removing her hand.
"Do you not love me anymore?" She pouted, sitting on the bed. I quickly turned around panicking, is she suggesting that I might be cheating on her.
"Of course I still like you" I smiled slightly, walking over to her.
"Prove it" she smirked, I sat on her lap wrapping my arms around her neck.
"Hmmm, I don't know, I do have a lot of work" I got off her, swaying my hips teasingly as I walked over to my desk.
"Lexa, you can't tease me like this" she warned, walking over to me until I felt her pressed up against my back.
"You know how I get.." she whispered, her hot breath against my neck, causing me to shiver. This didn't feel right, it used to. It used to have meaning to it, but, now I'm just something that she uses for whenever she pleases.
----
"What the f-" a bullet whizzed through the window, the glass shattering onto the ground. I cursed under my breath, rolling out of bed I quickly grabbed the gun I know Costia keeps under her bed. I threw on a tank top and shorts, peeking out my window. How did they find out where Costia lives, I quickly grabbed her phone and tossed it to her.
"Unlock it" she looked at me confused, in a haze of sleep she unlocked it. Usually, she would never do that. I went to her social medias and found a picture she snapped of me, they must've found our location through her phone. I pretended to not notice the messages from the other girls as I gave her phone back.
"What's going on?" She sat up, throwing on some clothes.
"Best guess, Nia found out where you live and has come to kill me." I slipped on my sandals and ran down the steps. They were trying to get in through the front door, I heard a soft click. The backdoor. Costia quickly ran to my side, her gun ready. Costia pulled the trigger, shooting the man right between the eyes. She had more experience than me in battles like these.
"Come on" she grabbed my hand, pulling me back up the stairs, I glanced over my shoulder. The front door burst open, crowds of them stumbled in looking around hungrily, their eyes met mine. I aimed my gun, shooting them down. One,two, three men down. Costia dragged me up the steps, running to her room, she slammed the door behind us.
"Climb out the window"
"What?"
"Climb out the window!" She shouted
"What about-"
"I'll be right behind you,now hurry up or I'll push you out myself" I quickly opened the window, tucking the gun in my pocket. I swung one leg over, once I was balanced I took a look around. Only a few were outside, none of them paying attention to the house but around it. Probably on lookout in case I were to call backup, but, I knew better than that. Calling backup would just get me or them killed.
"Lexa, we don't have all day" she growled, the door threatening to open as more and more gathered around it. I grasped one hand firmly onto the window sill I was sitting on, I flipped over my other hand quickly grasping for the ledge. I pulled myself up, the door flung open and Costia quickly ran towards the window. I swiftly took out my gun, shooting as many as possible, buying Costia some time and putting space between her and them.
"Lexa, let go"
"Are you asking me to die?" I growled, looking at her as if she were insane.
"How bad is the drop?"
"Break both of my ankles bad" I snapped.
"Climb up to the roof, now hurry before I get killed!" I looked around for anything, spotting a gutters pipe in arms reach. I leant forwards and swung my legs around it first, then firmly placed my hands as well. Costia in that matter of time was already on the window sill, and making her way onto the pipe. I hastily began to climb up, a few of the guards seemed to notice and pulled out their guns, quickening my pace upon Costia's yelling I quickly made it to the roof. I pulled myself up then looked over at Costia.
"Now what?"
"Go back down but into the backyard, I'm pretty sure everyone but that one guy got in from the front door." I nodded and climbed down from the window sills, careful not to make too much noise as I dropped onto the blood stained grass.
"I always liked the color red more than green" That was another thing, her change in favorites. She used to always tell me that she loves the color green, saying it reminded her of the most beautiful thing in the world. Now it was red, probably some redhead girl. I pretended not to hear her and looked around the corner. Clear.
"Okay we're clear."
"Good, now lets make our way over the-"
BANG
"Costia!"
