Clarke's POV

"So apparently, nobody has Lexa's phone number"

"Except for.. maybe Lincoln?" I shot up at the idea. At first I was fine with not talking to Lexa, we weren't even friends or anything. But after a few days, after the lingering stares we shared, I couldn't help it.

"Octavia has his number" Raven already had Octavia on the phone. Once we got his number we quickly dialed him, putting him on speaker.

"Hello?"

"Lincoln! Hi, this is Clarke. Um, this is sudden, but, do you know where Lexa is?"

"Wait I- Clarke I can't talk right now. I'm actually heading to Lexa, she's under attack and-" the line went out.
The last thing heard a shot in the background and a scream. That could be Lexa, Lexa could be bleeding on the floor right now.

"Raven she-" I quickly stood up, but immediately felt dizzy and was forced to sit down.

"Okay, you need to calm down. Commander heart eyes will be fine, just breathe." I frowned, confused at the nickname but was too much in a haze to ask. Instead I just laid down, taking in deep breaths.

----

"Costia!" I screamed, she slowly crumbled to the ground. My eyes darted up to the man who stood there, his face pale as he recognized me. I was shaking too much to reach for my gun, but, before I could grab my gun he fell to the ground lifeless. Lincoln standing behind him, his gun raised.

"Costia.." his eyes widened and he looked over at me. I didn't meet his eyes, instead I quickly scrambled to her side. He got the message and stood by keeping watch, his gun raised, but looking at us from the corner of his eye. Sure, he never liked her but he knew it would affect me greatly. He knew it would break me.

"I always knew you'd be the death of me.." Costia joked with a half-hearted smile. I tried to return the broken smile as I crouched besides her.

"Hey, you're okay. You're okay.." I could see the blood spilling from her wound, but I ignored it. I ignored our blood stained bodies, I ignored the sounds of shots being fired filling the air around us. I only focused on her.

"Lexa-" The smile faded from her lips, her worried eyes cast upon me as I frantically tried to put pressure on the wound. Her blood covering my hands. I wasn't letting her go, not like this not now.

"Breathe just breathe.. you're fine we're going to get an ambulance and-" I could feel my voice breaking with every word. This isn't how we part ways.

"Lexa.. my fight is over" her shallow breaths filled my ears, her smile the only thing I can see.

"Hey, stop it. You're.. it's.. Costia please don't-don't leave me" Tears threatened to spill, I stopped pushing instead I took in the sight of her. My hands reaching for her face. Even after everything I still loved her. She can't leave me, not after everything.

"I'm sorry.." she whispered, her eyes fluttering shut. Her breaths slowly fading away with each second. Her spirit pulling away from her body.

"Costia.. Costia open your eyes. Come back, it's okay I'm- we're okay. Wake up.. please just wake up. Don't-don't do this to me.. you can't leave, not now." I pleaded, holding her close. She has to wake up, this is a nightmare. A horrible nightmare that my brain made up. It's just my mind torturing me, it's not real, she's not gone.

"I'm sorry too.." I managed to whisper, tears spilling down my cheeks. I rest my hand on her cheek and softly placed my lips against hers, but this time they didn't react. I could taste the coppery tang from the blood and salt from my tears that still marked on her lifeless lips, I slowly pulled away, taking in how at peace she looked for a moment.
