Clarke's POV

"What's going to happen to her? Why isn't she coming with us?" I pressed against the window, watching the building disappear out of view as Lincoln drove me out of danger.

"You care?" His voice was almost bitter, which was surprising out of a guy like Lincoln.

"Of course I care" I softly spoke, he sighed stopping the car, he turned around to look at me.

"You better take care of her, she's not as tough as you think she is." With those words he turned the car around, back to the fallen buildings. Back to Lexa.

Lexa's POV

"Bellamy!" I kneeled by the edge, one hand gripping a broken down pillar, the other reaching for Bellamy. He lay under rubble, struggling to free himself. I knew Clarke would never forgive me if I left him,to my stupid decision I decided to turn back and retrieve him once all my men were confirmed safe. The standing building had fallen with an explosion, some contents still standing but crumbling at the moment. "Bellamy, we don't have all the time in the world!" Right on cue, the ceiling above us shook violently.

Finally, his hand clasped mine, with a grunt I pulled him up. Without a mere thank you, he stood up, brushing himself off.

"You're welcome." I grumbled, standing up and fixing the loose and dust filled tie, the rest of my suit now an ashy gray.

"Thank you, commander" he whipped around, kicking me off the ledge, the air in my chest being knocked out of me as my back hit the stones beneath me with an undeniably painful crack. My vision blurred as a pounding pain shot through my body, this isn't happening again. Not again.

"Mom? Mom, please answer me.." I stared down at the lifeless body that lay in the rubble, dust chafed into the skin along with dried blood. She was gone, and it was her fault.

"Mom's gone. Come on Lexa, I'll take you home.." Nia purred, reaching for my  arm. I stumbled away, my eyebrows furrowed together as hot tears ran down my  cheeks.

"Get away from me!"

With a low grunt, I shifted around and held onto a broken down piece of the building, shifting my weight onto it as I stood up. A dry laugh escaped from my lips, catching the sight of Clarke hugging Bellamy as I pulled myself up the ledge, Lincoln behind her clearly glaring at Bellamy. His eyes met mine and he quickly walked over, helping me up.

"What happened?"

"Nothing. Is Clarke okay?" I ignored the throbbing pain in not only in my back but my chest as it brought back unwanted memories.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, is Clarke okay?"

"Go find out yourself" he scoffed

"I'd rather not." I added bitterly, walking past Clarke to the car, Lincoln entering and starting the car.

"Lexa, is Bellamy back in th-"

"That's none of your business, Clarke." I watched as her eyes caught onto my bloody lip and nose.

"What happened?"

"Wouldn't you want to know" My eyes locked onto Bellamy's, clenching my jaw I turned to Clarke wanting to tell her. But, I couldn't. She looked happy, and honestly, I'd rather watch her happy with someone else than upset with me. Closing the car door, deciding she could probably gain a lift from somebody, ordering Lincoln to drive.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, knowing the answer already. He sighed, accelerating ahead getting me home as soon as possible. Leaving the past behind me once again.

Clarke's POV

I slumped into one of the chairs besides Raven, scooting closer  to her.

"Do you have any coffee?"

"Shit, I knew I forgot something" I groaned, slumping further into my seat.  "Sorry Raven, I completely forgot."

"You shouldn't be saying sorry to me.."

"What do you mean?" I quickly leaned forwards.

"Octavia told me what happened. Really? Bellamy? Come on Clarke, you're smarter than that."

"Did Octavia tell you why Lexa snapped at me..?"

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because that dickhead pushed her off into the fucking stones where her parents died and left her there!" Raven shouted, spinning around to face me. Shocked gasps and faces lifting from their sheets swept across the small room. "Shit. Clarke, you can't tell anybody that I told you and you can't tell anybody about that."

"What happened with Lexa's parents?"

"All we know is that they died at that exact spot you guys went to, other then that you'll have to ask Lexa herself." I groaned, sulking back into my seat, with the sound of a door opening and Lexa's grunt I quickly shot up in my seat earning an eye roll from Raven. Keeping my head down while Lexa sat on the table, receiving her stacks of paper, I gazed at her from the corners of my eye until a cup of coffee was placed besides me along with a sudden voice.

"Coffee?" I quickly looked up to be met with those intimidatingly beautiful eyes that sent me off blabbering.

"Uh, yeah- um, thanks a lot- sorry" I mumbled as I tried to form words into sentences whilst taking the cup of coffee. She only hummed in response, returning to her spot on the table.

Minutes ticked by until, finally, the first period bell rung sending everybody off to scatter to their classes. I quickly grabbed my bag on the way out, determined to catch up to Lexa.

"Lexa- hey, uh, wait."

"What do you want, Clarke." I flinched, realizing the damage I've done, she stared ahead as she continued to walk down the hall.

"I'm sorry! About your family and everything" I blurted out, she slowed to a stop, slowly turning to me.

"Who told you?" A growl erupted from her as she stepped closer, causing me to hesitantly back away.

"That's not important- I just- I wanna talk to you. I'm sorry about the Bellamy thing, I didn't know he pushed you off and I didn't know your family died.." Her back instantly straightened, her expression blank at the mention of her family.

"Yes, my family died an unfortunate death at that site. Now, if you will excuse me I have some business to take care of and it seems that you do as well" she stared over my shoulder, I turned around to see Bellamy waiting for me with a cocky smile, I looked back at Lexa trying to explain but she had already taken off.

"Hey- oh woah, what has your panties in a twist?"

"Fuck off Bellamy, why would you shove Lexa off? What the hell is wrong with you!" I snapped on him.

"She's a.." his voice lowered "A gay, she doesn't deserve to even be alive." My eyes widened, the words burning a fire inside me.

"You.. don't deserve to live you.. piece. Of. Fucking. Shit!" I shoved him, storming off to leave that douche. This was ridiculous, why would anyone wish death upon anyone. Especially Lexa, Lexa doesn't deserve death. Lexa deserves better.
