Lexa's POV

It was finally the end of the day. Well at least half of it for me, the other half still lay waiting for me. With only a few exchanged glances, we left in different directions, all into the bathrooms. I sprinted into the girls bathroom, locking the stall door behind me as I changed into the outfit I packed for myself. I walked out of the bathroom, a gun and knife in either of my pockets. I looked into the cheap mirror, fixing my tie.

"What're you dressed up for?" I quickly reached into my pocket out of habit, but then loosened the grip on my knife realizing who it was.

"Nothing that concerns you." I replied coldly, pulling the cuffs of my blazer up.

"Where are you going?" She persisted, I could feel her eyes traveling slowly up and down my body. A small smirk formed on my lips.

"I don't know, maybe a date." I whispered in her ear, giving her one last look at her shocked face before exiting the bathroom, heading to the parking lot.We always met at different places each month. Before everyone arrived, I pulled Bellamy aside.

"I need a favor" I whispered handing him a knife. He looked up at me with a look of confusion, but mostly determination, that's what I liked about Bellamy. Though, the only thing that got in the way of him being my right hand man, was his temper. He would always make irrational choices when his anger consumed him, it led me to cover up many of his mistakes.

"I need you to make sure Clarke Griffin doesn't follow us. Protect her and do not tell her any information." He nodded and quickly took off, knowing not to question my decisions. Not after what happened with the last man.

"Clarke Griffin, hm?" Lincoln smirked, walking up besides me. Lincoln was dressed into a fitting tuxedo, along with the rest of the grounders.

"She can't get in the way of our plans" I shrugged. Once everyone arrived we got into our cars. Lincoln being my driver along with two other armed men, I kept my eye out as we passed through a dangerous neighborhood.

The tires screeched to a stop and we slowly exited our cars, before we were met with guns pointed straight at us.

Clarke's POV

"What're you dressed up for?" I asked curiously. She was dressed into khaki pants,a light blue dress shirt that was covered by a navy blazer.

"Nothing that concerns you." She replied coldly, which surprised me, she acted as if she hadn't comforted me for hours last night.

"Where are you going?" I persisted on, I wasn't giving up. I couldn't help but let my eyes wander over her fitted body. Just to check if she had a gun or anything.

"I don't know, maybe a date" she whispered in my ear before heading out, giving me goosebumps. A date? A date with who? Though I heard from Raven that she's dating an older woman named Costia. Apparently, she used to be the commander then when she went to college, Lexa took her place. I never saw Costia before though.

I don't know why, but for the rest of the time I felt a growing burning heat in my chest every time I thought of Costia. She must be beautiful. Is it even a she maybe it's a he, but, I know she's gay. I'm just scared that she likes me. She knows I'm straight, she wouldn't fall for me.

As I exited the bathroom I was met by broad shoulders and messy black hair.

"Sorry" I apologized and tried to walk around him, but he blocked my way again. He's going to rape me, I panicked and kicked him in the balls before running off. I quickly ran outside to the parking lot, where was Lexa going? As if on cue, I caught a glimpse of her climbing into a car with Lincoln and two other guys before driving away.

I couldn't follow her on foot, I quickly turned away but was stopped by two big hands gripping my shoulders. I opened my mouth to scream for help but it was quickly covered.

"I'm not going to hurt you. The commander sent me to keep an eye on you" I looked at him quizzically as he slowly dropped his hand.

"What?"

"She sent me to protect you. Well, make sure you don't get in the way for her meeting with- shit." He quickly shut up. He knows about it.

"Meeting with who?" He stayed silent.

"Fine. If you're not gonna tell me you're gonna take me." I shrugged, I know he has a car since I've seen him drop O off.

"I'm not taking you" he scoffed, I stood besides his car with my arms crossed.

"I'll just have to tell Raven you're cheating on her, wouldn't I?" I didn't know if he was cheating on her, but I was praying he was the douche I thought he was. His eyes widened in fear and he quickly unlocked his car, getting in.

"Alright.." I was telling her anyways. He doesn't deserve her.

Lexa's POV

"What is this?" I growled, standing face to face with Nia, a fierce and ruthless commander.

"This, Lexa, is an ambush." She smirked, satisfied with the idea.

"Oh, sorry, wrong party" I scoffed, thanks for stating the obvious.

"Enough. Or one of my men will fire their guns right into your men. Which I happen to notice but, is there one less this month?" She snickered. I looked back at my men, reminding them to stay strong and not to let her threats get you. Nia always gave threats but never took action upon them.

"Same with me." I growled. Our men both had guns pointed to each other. Willing to die for their own commander.

"Lexa, we don't have to keep going on like this." She purred into my ear, I silently gagged in disgust. Apparently, she has taken an unfortunate liking into me. She reached up to touch my face, which I quickly swatted away.

"Very well then." She snapped her fingers and shots began to fire. One down. Two down. I was not about to have a repeat of last month. I was quick to react.

"Fall back!" I yelled, we quickly took cover behind our cars, they all sat looking at me for hope. I was their hope. Before I could tell them of a plan I was already brewing in my head, the sound of screeching tires filled the air. Everyone stopped and looked to find a short blonde girl stepping out of Bellamy's car.

"Clarke!"
