Clarke's POV

I entered an auditorium full of kids running about and meeting with their friends talking about their summer. I felt a feeling of loneliness as I saw kids reuniting and laughing together. I found an empty seat and waited till they called my class. "228 class please head to your designated homerooms." I got up unfolding my schedule, first period was homeroom, room 202.

After a few minutes of hopelessly wandering around the halls trying to find the room. Okay if 201 is here than 202 should be over here A relieved smile made its way on my face. I walked into the classroom but was quickly knocked down. I slowly looked up to find a tall girl covered with a black shirt and a leather jacket that seemed to suit her broad shoulders, black ripped jeans fitted around her waist.

As my eyes made their way from her ankles up they were suddenly met with forest green eyes, pink plump lips, and curly brown hair that was tied in multiple braids going down until her shoulders. She must be popular, probably all the boys are after her. Though the one thing that caught me off guard was her emotionless face.

Eventually I broke the silence, "I-I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going I-" I quickly stopped rambling as she held out her hand. I hesitantly took her hand and was quickly brought to my feet, again I was surprised this time by her strength. She did look like the fit type. I soon realized I was staring after she broke her eyes away from mine. I could feel my cheeks heating up from embarrassment after I realized everyone was staring at us.

Murmurs began to spread around the classroom between students, as I made my way to an empty seat. I sat down keeping my head down to try and avoid the eyes that I could feel watching me. Including the girl. I hadn't learned her name yet but I knew that she must be popular. Just by the way she dresses and acts I could tell. A good sense of style, attractive features, everything a guy would want.

I quickly peeked up and noticed she left the classroom with a group of other kids. They seemed to be her type of "crowd". Soon, the teacher walked in his eyes scanning over his new students. "Welcome class of 2017. I'm your teacher Mr. Jaha" his hand picking up a piece of chalk as he pressed it against the board writing out "Mr. Jaha". He slowly turned around and placed the chalk on his desk and wiped his hands, "I hope we don't have anything of last years' situations happening this year."

Nervous glances were exchanged by students, I reached over and poked a girl's,in front of me,back, curious of what happened last year. She quickly turned around, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah- oh hey! You're new here, right?" A warm smile coming on her face causing one to come on mine as well.

"Yeah,um, I was just wondering if-" she quickly caught me off though
"If you could sit with us at lunch? Sure I don't mind and I'm sure my friend Raven won't either."

Her friend, apparently Raven, turned around by the mention of her name.

"What?" She had big brown eyes that seemed to hold a lot of intelligence, her brown hair tied back in a ponytail. She wore a burnt orange hoodie that seemed to fit her tanned olive skin.

"I was just-" The other girl began but was quickly caught off by Raven.

"Introducing ourselves to the new kid" Raven said with a bored voice as if she was used to it by now.

"Yeah and-" Yet again she was cut off by Raven.

"Name" And with that one word the other girl face palmed herself.

"I always forget-"
"Every time"
"I knew I was forgetting something"
"Just tell the girl your name!" Raven raised her voice obviously annoyed.
