Ebrah
I ran upto my room. I couldn't handle it. Everyone looked so miserable and no one would eat anything. I was starting to get really worried.
A knock on my door shook me out of my thought. It was Aabira.
"Sorry appi I-" She was about to say something but I cut her off.
"No. It's ok. I understand if you don't want to eat." I patted the spot on the bed next to me. She came and sat next to me. We sat in silence before Aabira spoke.
"How's bhai." She asked. "He hasn't been talking to us." To be honest he didn't even talk to me.
"He's ok I guess." I said and looked at her. She was staring at the ground.
"How are you doing." I asked her. She just hugged me with so much force like she was afraid I was going to dissapear.
After a few minutes she left the room saying she was going to check up on aunty.
After praying dhuhr I was sitting on my bed and just staring into space when I felt the bed dip from the other side. I already knew it was Daaem so I didn't bother to look.
"Ebrah." I looked up at him. His eyes held so much emotion. It hurt me to see him like this. He layed his head on my lap looking up at me. I was also looking at him.
"You okay?" I nodded. Then he pulled me down and hugged me.I hugged him back super tight not wanting to let him go. His head was resting on my shoulder.
When he looked up at me I could see he was crying. He looked deeply into my eyes as if searching for something. Slowly he came forward until our foreheads were touching. "You're not okay, are you?" He asked me again.
This time I gave him an honest answer. "No." I said in between sobs. He turned his head and kissed me on my cheek. His lips stayed there for a while until he pulled away. Now it was my turn to hug him.
"Stay strong." He whispered in my ear then kissed my forehead before leaving me, once again feeling empty.
Ayesha
It has been 6 months since the accident. There were a lot of things that happened in these 6 months, Laiba left, new years party at uni, my birthday (which means I am now 24), new year, ramadan, eid-ul-fitr, eid-ul-adha. We all suffered a lot. But the one affected the most was Daamin. He barely talks anymore. Im really worried about him. He barely talks to Aabira anymore too.
Right now they were getting ready for Ebrahs waalima once again. The police still haven't found Abbus murderer. I hope they do real soon. They say that abbu might have been able to write that little note just before going. "Ayesha!" Whoops I forgot I had to help ammi.
Ebrah
Today I was officially islamically going to be Daaems. I was so excited but so sad. It doesn't feel right to have my waalima after uncles death.
"Done!" Ayesha said. She had just finished doing my hair. I looked up into the mirror. I couldn't believe this was me. I would have looked really surprised because what Ayesha said next made me blush hard.
"If you look so surprised imagine what bhai would be like." She chuckled and left the room saying she was going to call Daaem in. It felt like the first time when I saw him all over agin. I heard the door open behind me and then close again. I stood and turned around but didn't dare to look up.
Slowly he walked towards me. I also slowly looked up. OMA!!! He was looking so handsome. So hot!
"You look so good." I complimented him.
"Not as good as you." He whispered in my ear. His husky voice sent shivers down my spine. I could feel his hot breath on my neck. Then in such a swift motion he swooped me up bridal style and spinned me around. I hugged him, scared of falling.
I was still hugging when he put me down. "You can let go of me now he said." And the next thing I did left both of us shocked.
Kaab
I heard from Haadiya that Ayeshas dad passed away. I could feel her pain. I hoped she was ok. I don't see her often anymore. And whenI do all the cheeriness and happiness is lost from her eyes. She doesn't look like the Ayesha I once knew.
I had turned 27 yesterday. It was a fun day. I spent the whole day with my sweet lil sis.
Today was Ayeshas brother Daaems waalima and Ayesha had invited Haadiya. So Haadiya thought it would be a good idea to take me with her. Then dhe thought I could get to know her brother.
"You could become friends with her brother so when you ask for her hand in marriage he won't ask tough brother like questions."
"What!" I asked
"Come one. We both know you like Ayesha. I have already thought of a shipname. Kaabsha." She replied.
"Whatever." I said trying to ignore the subject and in hope that she will change it.
But I couldn't help the blush that crept up on my cheeks. Yes, guys can blush.
