What?! Two chappys in one day. Well this ia my gift to you guys in celebration of DS reaching its 1 year birthday!!!
Laat year, sometimes in April I was sitting in bed. I had been thinking about writing a Wattpad story for ages but never got to it, but tonight I decided. I grabbed my phone ooened wattpad and from there on my journey started.
I was so happy when I saw my first chappy had 20 reads.
Lke this I kept goung and here I am. I know I haven't progressed a lot in the past year. I see other wattpadians with thousands of reads in 1 year and I am sitting here with 727. But I don't mind. Because it is all because of those of you that have stuck with me.
A special shoutout to syrishmoonlight
And dirasdolls. Thanks for sticking around. And you silent readers don't feel underappreciated. I love each and everyone of you.
This one is for you.
Enjoy.
Ayeshas POV
As you all may already I am a hell of a deep sleeper. It took Aabira great strengths to get me out of bed so when Kaab was trying to wake me up I was like a half awake racoon. And I realised just how much I embarrased myself.
We all woke up around 12pm and I woke up after Haadiya.
I got out of bed and after washing my face I went towards the kitchen to make breakfast, but surprisingly it was already made.
"Haadiya you know I could've made it. You didn't have to."
"Oh stop it Ayesha. You're the newly wed bride. You don't do anything. The only thing you do is make a sweet for us." She said indicating to a tradition some families in Pakistan/India follow.
So I got started. I called Aabira and thank Allah she was awake.
"She gave me all the instructions and yelled at me when I didn't pit the right amount of rice for the kheer that was being made.
"Allah tera bhala kare, you saved my life today. You are so wifey material. God bless you I will call you later bye." I said once we finally finished.
By the time I finished setting the table Kaab walked out and I flashed him a smile.
We all sat down and Haadiya spoke.
"Bhai the kheer was made by Ayesha. Why don't you try it?" Haadiya said pushing the dish towards him.
He played some out and took a spoon in his mouth.
I coukd see his face turn into remorse disgust. Shit. What did I do.
A few seconds later he broke out in a smile and said...
"It's amazing Ayesha, the best I have ever had."
"And to end this tradition I have something for you." Haaduya spoke and pulled out a pair of beautiful diamond earrings. They sparkled in their case as the light hit them. They shone their brightest light, showing off every tiny detail.
"Thank you so much." I said as I hugged her.
We both knew I was not only thanking her for the earrings but for making me feel comfortable, for trying to make me feel like I wasn't missing out on what others had. A mother-in-law.
