Ayeshas POV

"Assalam-O-Alykum appi!" I ran upto appi and hugged her.

"Walaikumasalam jaan, how are you?" She replied as we broke off and she turned around turning the gas on the stove down.

"Im great alhumdullilah." I replied.

"Looks like Kaabs keeping you real happy." She winked at me and walked over.

"Listen I have some news to tell you." Her voice dropped down a few octaves.

"What is it." There was a different type of glow on appis face. This must be big.

"Ummm, so I got news this morning and uh, ummm, Your going to be an aunty." She whispered.

"What! Oh my god, that's such good news. I'm so excited. Ya Allah you're going to be a mom." To say I was excited is an understatement.

"Shhhhh." She continued whispering. "I haven't told Daeem yet. Everyone else know's though." Aabira walked in at that moment.

"Aabira, my lovely sister." I hugged hugged her super tight.

"Since when have you started showing so much love." We joked around some more and just talked about life in general when Aabira brought up the baby.

"Appi, did she tell you." She asked

"Yes she did, Oh Allah I'm so excited."

"Appi has been smiling all the time lately, it's so funny, she will just totally zone out with a huge grin on her face and it's hilarious seeing Bhai's confused face." She explained how Appi started crying when she found out, she's always been the emotional one.

"Appi when are you going to tell Bhai, I bet he will be so excited." I looked at her and laughed when I saw her look down shyly.

"I think I will tell him this evening when Kaab also returns from work. That way everyone will be here." I just couldn't wait.

After a while I walked up to my room to pray. I opened the door and walked in. Everything was the exact same. My bed was still there, parallel to Aabira's, the book shelf still standing with all my old Uni text books, the ones I used to beat my head on when Exams were around the corner. I laughed at the memories, Aabira trying to get me out of bed, me telling her to go to sleep and turn off the lights because she wouldn't stop reading.

"Not going to lie, I actually really do miss you." Aabira walked in after me.

"I don't know if I feel the same." I joked and she rolled her eyes.

"You're married but you still haven't matured." I chuckled.

After I prayed Zhuhr I rung up Haadiya.

"Salam, Haadiya are you at uni?" I asked when she picked up the phone.

"Salam, yes Ayesha I'm at uni." She replied.

"Ok, who's picking you up, Kaab right?" After I was sure she would come home safe I hung up and went downstairs.

"Gabby!" I ran down and hugged her.

"You didn't even call me once after the wedding. Too caught up in hubsy to even think about bestie." With mock anger she looked at me with accusing eyes.

"I'm so sorry Gabby, but I've got so much to tell you." We went back to my room and I felt like a teenager again. Sitting on my bed talking to my bff, giggling at the most stupidest things, teasing eachother, it felt good to act like teenager Ayesha.

Gabby sighed. "Ayesha, find me some guy please. I'm getting so jealous listening to all your romantic stories."

"Ahahaha Gabby I am going to feel so sad for the guy that marries you." She punched me and like this our banters went on, and I didn't realise where time flew and Aabira called us down for dinner.
