Chapter 24- Desperate
Melanie

After 3 hours of paintball, we decided to leave and have lunch at a Chinese restaurant. We left this area and went back to the car, entering it.

For 1 whole hour of driving to the restaurant, Dylan didn't utter a word to me. Everyone made noise and talked like there was no tomorrow, but me and Dylan, we just kept silent.

Honestly, what I did wasn't even on purpose. It happened accidentally.

Dylan parked outside of the restaurant and we all get out, later entering the restaurant. This place looked pretty, I was getting good vibes from every corner of this place.

The decorations were in red, the tables and chairs were black and white. It was really modern but it also had some traditional Chinese feels to it. You could tell by the Chinese paintings and lanterns.

We all took a seat and the menu cards were placed in front of us by a really pretty waitress. We all skim through the menu and give our orders. "What'll happen after lunch?" Kendall asks,

"We'll see about that, right now let's just eat our food." Dylan answers without an expression.

I stood up and left to go to the washroom. I entered the cubicle, did my business, washed my hands and left the washroom. I was about to walk away from here but get pulled into a corner by the one and only, Dylan.

"Dylan about the pai-"

"It's alright."

"But Dylan it happen-"

"I said it's ok, pumpkin. I deserved it anyways and that was nothing compared to what I did."

I sigh in relief. Thank god he thinks that way too.

I didn't even realize how close Dylan was to me right now. I was in between Dylan's arms, and if I'm not hallucinating or on cloud nine, then I can tell by his movements that he's leaning in.

Is he going to kiss me?

If he does I might actually faint.

But he won't, right?

Gosh if you're gonna kiss me then do it already.

Ugghhhh!

"We should go, our food must be served already." He said and left, leaving me disappointed.

Why didn't he just kiss me?

Stop being desperate Mel!

I walk back to our table and took my seat. My mouth watered at the scene of this delicious heaven in front of me. There was Manchurian, fired rice, szechwan noodles, chicken corn soup and many more.

I start eating my food and accidentally moan, "hmm food porn, I like it." Dylan said and smirked. If I was the old me, I would've rolled my eyes, but now, I'm just blushing.

After stuffing my stomach with food and potentially having a food baby, I had a glass of coke. After everyone had their deserts and drinks, we leave the restaurant.

Dylan starts driving and I ask, "so what now?"

"Honestly, I don't even know. Actually, there's a lake close from here, so we could go there. Probably go for a swim or something."

"Yeah alright. Sounds good to me." I agree and he smiles, which, might I add, made my heart explode from happiness.

After another 30 mins of keeping my ass stuck on the seat, we finally reach the place.

I get out of the car and stretch my limbs. Everyone else soon followed my steps. Meaning everyone stretched too.

"So Dylan, what are we doing here?" Kendall asks,

"Can't you see that we're by the lake? What else can we do?" He asks, making me chuckle.

What? The way he answered her was funny. At least to me.

We all walk towards the lake and the first thing Dylan did was remove his tshirt, giving me full access to gawk at him. He looked at me and smirked, causing me to blush because he caught me checking him out.

"Like the view?" He asks and wiggles his eyebrows like an idiot.

A cute idiot.

Everyone removes their clothes and jumps into the lake, and I just sat there, under the tree, watching them as they had fun. Dylan comes out of the water and picks me up bridal style, ready to throw me in.

"Dylan please don't. Dylan don't, Dyla-" and I was thrown in.

I come up, gasping for air and Dylan looked at me with worry, but his worry turned to laughter once I started splashing water on him.

We all swam and splashed water on each other, acting like total goofs.

I look at everyone having fun and realize one thing,

I have some great friends.

Let's just ignore the fact that I called Kendall a friend, because even y'all know that she most definitely isn't.
