The silver tabby's paws ached from the
seeming endless miles of land she traveled over, the journey had been long and hard especially with her swollen belly full of kits. Her mate a russet colored tom with spots along his back brushed close to her fur sensing her weariness,

"Rainshine, are you sure we are getting close to your clan?" He asked casting a worried glance at her swollen belly.

"Yes, I recognize this land, it should be over the hill" Rainshine huffed, Staggering on her paws.

Rainshine, let out a gasp and fell to the ground a sudden spasm of pain gripping her body. A golden she-cat with spots rushed to her side using her weight on one shoulder to support Rainshines left shoulder.

"Fox, Help me, brother!" The panicked She-cat wailed desperately to her brother.

"Cheetah, her kits are coming, my kits, you need to give her some space." Fox whispered, backing away from his writhing mate.

Cheetah backed away from Rainshine letting her slump to the ground again, glancing once at her calm brother with a shocked look.
"Rainshine, you are a medicine cat what can we do to help?" Foxwing questioned with a smooth tone.

"S-tick..... g-et me a stick" She stuttered through clenched teeth. Cheetah sprang to action scanning her surroundings for a stick until she spotted a thick curvy stick. She raced to it, snatched the stick off the ground, and darted back to the laboring tabbys aid. Rainshine gripped the stick in her teeth and forced herself to stay in place as her first kit was being delivered. A ripple passed down her belly, causing pain to jolt down her body. The first kit was being born, Rainshine bit down as hard as she could forcefully. The stick splintered into several pieces as the first kit slid out onto the grass in a sack,
"A she-cat, she has spots like me!" Fox mewed proudly gazing at the small kit emerging from her sack. Rainshine felt hapiness flash through her for a moment, but then it passed after she realised what she had to do.

"Another kit is being delivered." As soon as Cheetah spoke a spasm of pain overwelmed Rainshine once more. she clenched her teeth on the splintered stick causing it to crack into two pieces releasing a loud crunch. The second kit slid out onto the grass immediately out of her sack.
"another shecat, Silver and black like you Rainshine." Cheetah murmured heartmelting at the beauty of the two new kittens.
"Start licking them, they need warmth its cold at night" Rainshine recovered from her labor after a few moments starting to stroke her tongue across the spotted kits frail body. Cheetah then started grooming the silver and black kits fur along with Fox. the spotted kit replied with a small wail, but then quieted down. After grooming them The spotted kit searched for her mother until she found Rainshines belly and started to suckle. The black and silver tabby followed and latched on to her mothers belly comforted by her warmth.

"They are beautiful my love, what are you going to name them?" The new father
purred his amber eyes gazing proudly at his mate.
"I was thinking Cheetahkit for the spotted one, after Cheetah." Rainshine rested her tail on the spotted kit.
"I am deeply honored Rainshine, thank you." Cheetah praised her friend.
"And I want to name this one Pebblekit, since her silver and black markings look like pebbles." Rainshine turned her gaze to her second kit. Fox purred,
"You are going to be a wonderful mother, but what are you going to do with them since you are a medicine cat?" her rogue mate silenced the air with the question. Rainshine froze, emotions swirling through her rocking her body violently.
"I will let my friend Moondust take care of them, when I get back to the clans, we will have to be separated Fox, you can't join my clan because my clan mates will get suspicious." Rainshine mewed sorrowfully.
Fox was on the beginning of protest, but then he nodded his head in agreement.
"I will do what I must, for us and our kits."
Fox fixed his gaze on his shuffling paws.
Cheetah flicked her ears,
"I will go back to my housefolk after we bring you to your clan, they will be worried about me, but i'm sure they will get over you since they captured you and only had you with them for three days." Cheetah spoke.
Rainshine nodded her head,
"You have been a good friend, thank you for all that you've done." Rainshine acknowledged her friend. Fox then spoke next,
"I will miss you too sister, but I was a rogue in the first place not a kittypet, so I might not have liked your life style, but I still respect your choice of returning to your housefolk. I will miss you when I join a clan." Fox gently touched his nose to her ear in a sign of affection for his sibling. Rainshine signaled for Fox to pick up Pebblekit as Rainshine picked up Cheetahkit. Fox gently gripped Pebblekits scruff in his teeth. The parents then carried their kits to the top of the hill peering at the forest of Thunderclan territory and the moor of Windclan. The beautiful sight of home made Rainshine purr with happiness glad that the long journey was over. Until she was swallowed into a vision, She was no longer holding a kit but was alone in blinding fog. Panicked she started wailing desperately for help racing foward through the seeming never ending fog. A voice startled her and froze her in her tracks,

"Rainshine" The voice echoed, Rainshine whipped around panting. She met eyes with a stary-furred grey cat, with a limp scarred back leg. Though in her eyes she showed no pain or defeat by her scar. "I am Cinderpelt, medicince cat of Thunderclan, I am here to tell you something listen closely." Cinderpelts voice echoed breaking through the silence. Cinderpelt was the legendary medicine cat who died saving Sorrieltail from a badger attack! Rainshine remembered,
"Blood will lead a storm to rage the forest." The stary-furred shecat froze Rainshine with a serious deep gaze.
"What?!- What does that mean!?" Rainshine gasped edging away slowly. Cinderpelts only reply was a sad sorrowful look as her fur and surroundings started to fade. Rainshine bounded fowards trying to reach the fading Starclan cat only to be snapped back into reality. Cheetahkit was squirming and wailing in her jaws, and Fox and Cheetah were staring at her startled.
"Are you ok?" Fox started,

"Yes- yes i'm fine lets go home now" Rainshine replied half dazed. Fox turned back to his spot and nodded his head clearly excited to join his new clan Shadowclan that he agreed on joining earlier with Rainshine. Cheetah then turned to Rainshine and Fox and spoke,

"goodbye, brother and dear friend I will always remember you." Cheetah dipped her head dissapearing down the bottom of the hill, towards the direction where they came from on the journey. Fox flicked his ear signaling his goodbye, and turned to his new home.

"Goodbye my love, I will wake Moondust and tell her about the kits, everyone will believe that the kits were hers and were delivered early. Both kits will have to go to my clan, but I will still meet you at night in your clan. Now I must be getting back to Riverclan, my clan must be in great need of me since I am the only medicine cat."
Rainshine brushed up against her mate before he handed her Pebblekit to take back to her clan as he would seperate from her and ask to join Shadowclan. The parents then begain steadily walking closer to the clans seprating their paths after staying together on one path through the journey from the twoleg place to the clans. For the beginning of a new life for Fox, a former rogue, and the new born kits, was silently waiting to be journeyed through.
