Cheetahscar's Rage

•Chapter 1•

       The leaf twirled and spiraled through the air as it gently fell to the ground. swift Paws slammed down onto the leaf with a loud crunch followed by a merrow of amusement.
The young kit picked up the squished leaf in her delicate jaws and trotted back to her mother
      "Moondust! look what I caught, a mouse!"
The kit squealed with excitement.

     "Wow Cheetahkit! you are quite the hunter little one, someday you will become the best hunter this clan has ever seen."
    Moondust purred praising her kit.

     "Thanks mother, but I can also be the best fighter ever!"
  Cheetahkit let out a chirp swiping the air proudly pretending as if she was clawing a cat.

    "You will be a great warrior Cheetahkit"
Moondust purred softly running her tail down Cheetahkits back soothingly.
    Cheetahkit looked up at Moondust with wide curious eyes and asked

   "Can you tell me the story of our birth again?"
Cheetahkit asks, immediately Cheetahkits sister darts into the nursery and sits down besides Cheetahkit

    "Oh! tell me too I wanna hear"
She grins.

    "Yeah Pebblekit too!"
Cheetahkit replies to her excited sister.
      Moondust smiles warmly and begins with her story.

     "It was really late at night, everyone was asleep, and I started to feel sharp pains in my belly. I knew I was having my kits so I rushed to the medicine den, but Rainshine wasn't there and Willowshine was retiring to the elders den so I rushed outside the camp searching for Rainshine, but it was too late.
I started to have my kits, both guards to the camp fell asleep apparently, so I had no one to help me."
      Cheetahkit and Pebblekit's eyes twinkled in awe as Moondust continued.

     "That is until I heard a voice, Rainshine's voice, she said hold on i'm coming Moondust and she helped me give birth to both of you!"
   Moondust continued.
     "I named you, Cheetahkit, after an animal in my dream named Cheetah, quite a unique name! and Pebblekit I named you after the pebbles that line the river shore. You both are named after important and unique things, which is why you are both so special."
     Moondust purred with pride,

    "I took you both back to camp waking up the clan with your cries most of them were confused by your name Cheetahkit, but I explained to them about your name. You both are my greatest pride and I know you will be amazing warriors."
   Moondust sighed

   "What about our father? and what happened to your milk?"
  Pebblekit asks puzzled
Moondust fixes her gaze thoughtfully at the edge of the nursery where Thrushwing and her kits were sleeping.

    "Your father was a Shadowclan cat named Darkcloud, he died before you were born. And I don't know why I didn't have milk, luckily Thrushwing has some that she shares with you."
   Moondust nods her head purring.

      "but isn't that against the warrior code? To love a cat from a different clan?"
  Cheetahkit tilts her head sideways with a confused look.
    Moondust in return gazes at Cheetahkit with knowing eyes.

        "Yes, it is, but I know now that that was a mistake, and all my clanmates have forgiven me for it."
     Moondust finishes.

     "thanks for the story mother!"
Pebblekit squeals

    "My name is more special than yours Pebblekit!"
   Cheetahkit taunts her sister with a hint of amusement in her voice.
