I'm still sad about my break up with Yong Guk, even though it was mutual. I mean he was my first boyfriend. There's a knock at the bedroom door.
"Jae Eun-ah." Unnie says. I get up and open the door. Unnie is standing on the other side of the door.
"You don't look so good. Do you want to stay home today?" Unnie asks.
"I'm fine." I say. Unnie studies me for a second.
"We'll have a sister day at home." Unnie says.
"Okay." I say.
"We can stay in our pjs all day." Unnie says.
"What time is it now?" I ask, groggily.
"12 pm." Unnie says, checking her phone. Wow, I never sleep in this late. I'm more of a morning person honestly. I look over at the bed and see the Son Hyun Woo isn't there.
"Is everyone gone?" I ask.
"Ne." Unnie says. I step out of the room and unnie and I head downstairs. It's quiet. Unnie turns some music on.
"What do you want to eat?" Unnie asks.
"Pancakes." I say, without thinking.
"Okay." Unnie says. We get started on the pancakes. My phone chimes ones but I ignore it and continue mixing. Then it chimes five more times.
"Someone's really popular." Unnie says, playfully. I make a face at her. I check my phone and see that I have three messages from Mi Na and three from Sa Rang. All of them are asking me if I'm okay and saying that we should hang out. I respond in the group chat, saying that I'm fine and we can hang out tomorrow.
3 P.M
For the past three hours, unnie and I have been watching horror movies and eating junk food. I'm really enjoying myself. I probably won't be able to sleep tonight, oh well it's totally worth it. Unnie is hiding behind me because there is a ghost on the screen that has black holes for eyes. She's more scared than I am. Suddenly her phone starts ringing. We both jump off the sofa and scream. She answers her phone, while I try to calm my rapidly beating heart down.
"What? It's due today?!" Unnie asks, panicking. I look at her confused.
"Okay, I'm on my way." Unnie says. She hangs up and looks at me.
"Turns out our professor wants our assignment that's due tomorrow today." Unnie says.
"Omo. You should hurry." I say.
"Come along with me, I'll give you a tour after and then we can go to a cafe." Unnie says.
"Okay, sure." I say. We turn off the movie and head upstairs to get ready. Today I decide to wear the dress that Sa Rang and I bought. I get ready quite fast. I do my hair half up half down and do my normal make up. I finish before unnie, so I go back down to the living room and wait. My phone rings. I look at the caller ID and see that it's from an unknown number. I decline the call, but the number calls back. I decline it two more times before I finally just answer.
"Yeoboseoyo?" I say.
"Is this Song Jae Eun?" A voice asks. I hear the background noise that kind of sounds like a restaurant. I decide to lie because this seems sketchy.
"Aniyo." I say.
"Jeongmal? I'm sure this is my girlfriend, Song Jae Eun's phone number." The person says. This is getting very weird.
"I don't know who that is, but this is not their number." I say.
"You sound exactly like her." The person says. That's enough.
