Part 52

WARNING: THIS CHAPTER MENTIONS  SUICIDE. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO THIS TOPIC!

Today's the day,the day that all of high school has depended on; university entrance exams. I'm so nervous because my future depends on this. If I don't pass, I'll have wait until next year to re-take it. I mentally review as I come out of the washroom. My  towel partially covers my view, before I can move it, I crash into something, or rather someone. 

"Watch where you're going." Hyun Woo says, fixing my towel. He rubs my hair with the towel. 

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask. Hyun Woo brings his face down to mine. 

"Because, I'm gonna win you back." He states, brushing a wet piece of hair away from my face.  

"Tch. Whatever." I say, walking past him. Then something occurs to me. I turn back around. 

"What about Nam So Young?" I ask. Hyun Woo looks like a deer in headlights. 

"Mwo?" He asks. 

"Aren't you dating So Young?" I inquire. Hyun Woo sighs. 

"You caught me. I asked her to help me get you back by making you jealous." Hyun Woo states. 

"Guys are weird." I say, making my way to my room and get ready. 

Later

The exam is finally over. I don't think I have anymore brain cells left because I used them all. Mi Na, Sa Rang, and I are sitting on bleachers at the field behind the school. 

"How do you think you did?" Mi Na asks. 

"I bombed it." Sa Rang says. 

"You could've done that bad." I say, reassuringly. 

"I'm gonna go home and cry." Sa Rang says. Mi Na and I roll our eyes. 

"Stop being so dramatic." Mi Na says. The boys join us, including Hyun Woo. 

"It's over for me." Hyungwon says, flopping down on the bleachers. 

"Ya, you guys are killing my mood." I.M. says. 

"Why are you in such a good mood?" Jooheon asks. 

"Because I did well." I.M. says, confidently. 

"Ya, Im Changkhyun, don't be so cocky." Wonho says. 

"Let's play soccer." Minhyuk suddenly suggests. We all look at him. 

"Sure!" We agree.  Minhyuk pulls a soccer ball out of his backpack. 

"Do you walk around with that?" I ask. 

"You never know when you'll get a chance to play." Minhyuk says. I laugh at his silliness. We all get onto the soccer field and then divide ourselves into teams. Mi Na, Kihyun, Hyun Woo, Minhyuk and I are on a team. Sa Rang, Jooheon, Hyungwon, Wonho, and I.M. are on a team. I'm so glad we didn't have to wear our uniforms today, I can't play soccer in a skirt. Minhyuk passes the ball to Kihyun, who passes to me. I get as far as I can before I pass it to Hyun Woo. He kicks it into the other team's net, giving us a goal. 

"Woo!" Hyun Woo yells. 

"Block the net!" I.M. yells at Wonho. I fix my ponytail for the next round. 

"Tokki!" A deep voice calls. I turn around and see Yong Guk waving  at me. He joins us on the field. 

"Oppa, what are you doing here?" I ask. 

"I wanted to see you." He says, smiling. 

"Oh." I say, suddenly feeling embarrassed. All of my friends are watching. 

"I want a hug please." Yong Guk says, pulling me into his arms. 

"Gross." I.M. says. Yong Guk lets go and hands me a carton of chocolate milk. 

"I don't want my Tokki getting dehydrated." He says, pinching my cheek.

"She likes strawberry milk." Hyun Woo mumbles. It seems I'm the only one that heard. Yong Guk opens the carton and puts a straw in it. 

"Here." Yong Guk says, handing it to me. I take it and have a sip, it's not bad, but I prefer strawberry milk. 

"Gomawo, oppa." I say, smiling. 

"Anything for my Tokki." Yong Guk says. 

"Can we get back to the game now?" Sa Rang asks. Everyone walks away. I'm about to walk away, when Yong Guk suddenly kisses me on my cheek. 

"What was that for?" I ask, shocked. 

"Good luck." He says, smiling. I shyly go back to my friends. This time, Hyungwon kicks the ball to I.M. Hyun Woo steals it and passes it to me. I pass it to Minhyuk, who passes it back to Hyun Woo,however, Sa Rang intercepts and passes it to Jooheon, who scores a goal. 

"Yes!" I.M. yells.  I never knew he was this competitive. I guess you learn something new everyday. 

                          We've finished our game with my team successfully winning. 

"Let's go eat!" Jooheon suggests. Everyone agrees. I notice there is some tension between Hyun Woo and Yong Guk. My phone suddenly buzzes in my pocket. 

Unknown: Check your locker

I look at my friends, but it seems that none of them received the message.  This is probably related to Lee Jin Soo.

"I'll meet you guys at the bus stop." I say. 

"Why?" Mi Na asks. 

"I forgot something in class, I'll be back soon." I say. 

"I'll come with you." Yong Guk offers. I shake my head. 

"It's fine, I'll go alone." I say. I turn and head back into the school. The school is so empty and quiet, there's no one in sight. I get to my class and go straight to my locker. When I open it, I find a bunch of newspaper clippings. The headline on one of them catches my attention.

High School Boy Found Dead at Local School After Apparent Suicide. 

I continue reading the article. 

17 year old Park Min Jun, a student from the local high school was found dead on Wednesday. It appears that he jumped from the school's roof last night. His body was discovered by a janitor early this morning. Park Min Jun was well liked by his peers and was a very bright student, he was the top of his class every year. It is unclear as to what motive he might've had  for wanting to do this. 

I stop reading. What does this have to do with Lee Jin Soo? The class room door suddenly opens. My eyes go wide.
