Hyun Woo is really getting on my nerves. Every time I reach across the table to grab a side dish, Hyun Woo also reaches for the same thing, causing our hands to touch. I really hope no one notices.
"Yoon Hee and I have an announcement." Unnie says. We all turn our attention to them.
"What is it?" Eomma asks.
"We're moving out." Yoon Hee unnie says. The room is so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Finally Ms. Oh speaks.
"Why?" She asks, confused.
"We've wanted to do this for awhile now and we've finally saved up enough money to do it." Yoon Hee unnie says.
"But you're only 19." Appa says.
"How will we ever know what real independence is, if you don't even let us try?" Unnie asks.
"You're not moving out." Mr. Son says.
"But, appa." Yoon Hee unnie says, desperately. Hyun Woo nudges me. I look at him.
"Let's go." He mouths. No one notices when we leave. I plop down on my bed, exhausted.
"I can't believe their moving out." I say, sadly.
"I want Noona to move out." Hyun Woo says. I look at him with disbelief.
"Why?" I ask.
"I don't like her." He says. I roll my eyes.
"I know deep down you love her." I say. Now it's his turn to roll his eyes. My phone rings. It's from that blocked number again. I don't answer.
"Who was it?" Hyun Woo asks. I shake my head.
"Wrong number." I say. I yawn.
"I'm going to sleep now." I say.
"Good night, Jagiya." Hyun Woo says, smiling.
"Ya! Don't call me that." I say, annoyed. He just smiles at me. I never thought I'd ever see him be so warm and caring. He's definitely changed, in a good way of course.
Next day
People stare at Hyun Woo and I when we walk into school, because he insisted on holding my hand. He wouldn't let go no matter how hard I tried to get my hand away.
"Can you let go of my hand now?" I ask.
"No." Hyun Woo says. I sigh.
"Jae Eun!" Someone calls. Hyun Woo and I turn around. Ahn Mae Ri.
"What's up?" I ask.I quickly yank my hand out of Hyun Woo's. Surprisingly, he lets go.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" She asks.
"Of course." I say. We begin to walk away, when I notice Hyun Woo following us. Mae Ri notices too.
"Shownu, I meant alone." She says to him.
"Oh....okay." He says. We walk away.
"Minhyuk and I have been talking the past few days." Mae Ri says, blushing slightly. I smile.
"That's really great. You two look really good together." I say.
"You think so?" Mae Ri asks. I nod and smile.
"You and Shownu are perfect for each other." Mae Ri says. I almost trip because I'm caught off guard by her words.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say. Mae Ri abruptly stops walking. Minhyuk approaches.
"Hey." Minhyuk says, smiling.
