"What did you say?" Jin Soo asks, raising his hand.
"Don't.Touch.Her." A familiar voice says behind Jin Soo. The person grabs Jin Soo's wrist mid-air. Bang Yong Guk pushes Jin Soo away from me.
"What the hell?" Jin Soo says annoyed.
"Stay away from her." Yong Guk says. I look between them shocked.
"Gaja." He says. Yong Guk suddenly grabs my wrist and pulls me away.
"Nwayo!" I say, trying to get my wrist free. Yong Guk doesn't let go.
"I'm never going to let you go." Yong Guk says. His words send shivers down my spine.
"You should." I say.
"I've realized something, I've always liked you. No matter how much I try to get you out of my mind, I can't." Yong Guk says. My eyes go wide.
"You're playing me again." I say.
"If I didn't like you, would I've bought you all of that stuff?" Yong Guk asks. I raise my eyebrow at him.
"You've gotten delusional. What stuff are you talking about?" I ask, confused.
"In there." He says, pointing to his car. I see that the entire back seat is filled with bags.
"I don't like you." I say. "Now let go of me."
"Can we at least talk?" Yong Guk asks. I sigh. I'm probably gonna regret this later.
"Fine." I say.
"Let's go to a cafe." Yong Guk says. He finally lets go of my wrist and opens the car door for me. I get in and he closes it. He gets into the car and then pulls off.
"Wait!" I say.
"What? What happened?" Yong Guk asks concerned.
"I forgot my bike." I say. Yong Guk gives me his signature gummy smile.
"I can buy you a new one." He says. I look at him skeptically.
"Why did you call me a bunch of times?" I ask.
"What calls?" Yong Guk asks confused.
"Didn't you call me a bunch of times these past few days?" I ask.
"I never called you." Yong Guk states. "Is someone bothering you?"
"No, it's a misunderstanding." I say. If it wasn't Yong Guk, then who was it?
"I'm confident that I can win your heart." Yong Guk states.
"Why do you think you can win my heart?" I question. The car stops when we hit a red light.
"Because you liked my once. If I try hard enough, I can bring those feelings back." He says looking into my eyes. He smiles.
"I don't think so." I say. The light turns red and he starts driving again.
Later
Yong Guk and I have been here at the cafe for about an hour. He's not acting like he did a few nights ago, in fact he seems like the old Yong Guk.
"What happened to you the other night? Why were you acting like that?" I ask.
"What are you talking about?" Yong Guk asks, perplexed. I look at him.
"I came to your family's restaurant to buy dinner and you started being really aggressive and said something about only wanting to date me because of a bet." I say.
