Taming the inner her

Chapter 3

  I felt the warm breeze rush to my face as I entered through the doors of Manor field high.
I looked around and just smiled at the fact that I'm in a school
I remembered what happened yesterday and how I made friends with Ashley as I walked through the hallway to my locker.

       'creak'

As I opened my locker to go over my schedule and see what classes I have. "Hey Clarie " I heard a voice call out to me making me turn around to see who it was. It was Ashley and Scott. They were both standing behind me
"hi Ashley, how are you doing? " I asked
" well I'm good , I'm kinda happy you haven't left yet but still sad that you might soon "

Did I hear that right. Some one is already caring about me

"Clarie "
Scott called
"Errr. I'm Scott, we met yesterday when you bumped into Eiden "

Really, the grumpy guy's name is Eiden

"oh yeah " I said still thinking about the fact that he has such a cute name. Wait cute. That guy was rude to you and you say is name is cute. Some thing scolded me inside.

Sometimes its just like a battle field in my mind.

One part is telling me to keep being a good nice girl that I've always been and another is telling me to be cold and distant from the world.

But hey, just be I move around a lot doesn't mean I can't have little fun where ever I go. I thought again when Ashley snapped me out of my trance it seems she was asking me something and I clearly was not responding.

"Clarie! " she called out to me " I was asking you what classes you have today "

"oh right, well I was going over my schedule when you guys came " I looked back into my locker and over my schedule.  " I have calculus first " I said with a big smile clearly spelling out that I love calculus

She turned around like she knew she was going to see some one my eyes followed her gaze to where Eiden's locker was his locker was opposite mine and beside him was Brody his locker was beside Eiden's.

She nodded to them both explaining that she meant Eiden and Brody were also having calculus too.

My eyes met Eiden's eyes and what happened yesterday just played in my head.

He walked up to us not breaking his gaze from me.

Clearly I couldn't too his green eyes were just so fascinating

He walked up to us with Brody who walked behind him to our spot " hey guys" he said he was clearly looking less grumpy

I broke my gaze from him and looked some where else in the hall
" Hey " he said getting my attention
" I'm Eiden Harper, aka the guy you crashed into your first day at school "he said with a smirk as Brody grinned from ear to ear

"I'm... I'm sorry about that "
My good side said it definitely wasn't my hostile side

"no worries " he stated as he walked away with Brody shifting my attention to Ashley and Scott, they were all lovey Dovey I couldn't help but say
" jeez you two should get a room before you start smooching again"

The both laughed and Ashley drew me breaking from Scott's hold making him walk right behind us like a guy who as been deprived of something. We walked to the calculus class.

Ashley sat with Scott in a joined locker Brody sat on a single one beside them as he talked to a girl behind him I looked around and the only space left was the joined locker were Eiden was sitting. The chair beside him was free. I walked up to him and asked him if any one was there. He looked at the chair and back to the door. Maybe he was expecting some one.

"it's OK if some one else is here, I'll just get another space "
He looked around and saw no other free space and back at the door and said in a dissapointed voice that "it's OK, you can sit here "
After I sat I couldn't just help myself, I just wanted to know who he was expecting

"sorry but, were you expecting some one "

His face broke into a frown his eyebrows descended like it sunk into his already scrunched nose.

Maybe I shouldn't have asked

He turned to look at me with his hand in a fist and his pale lips almost all red and his pale green eyes looking at my brown chestnut eyes.

"my sister"  he said in an angry sad voice

"oh I didn't know you had a sister"

He nodded and said " she isn't doing well,  she's really sick and yesterday it's like it just became worse, it made me really mad seeing my own sister like that just made me to loose "

"well you really lost it if you're to ask me,  I mean you were all grumpy yesterday and now you are a completely different person its like you have a character change or some thing "

He flinched at my words and his jaw tightened making his face all tight, anger was written all over it

"don't you ever say that again "
He said raising his voice as he stood up and left the class

All eyes were all me boring holes as Brody came from his chair to Eiden's chair and with concern written all over his eyes

"what happened?" Brody asked

"nothing we were just talking and he flared up and left like a complete bipolar patient "

"oh please don't tell me you said that to his face "

"no but I said he has serious character issues "

Ashley and Scott looked back at us like they heard the unspeakable

"you shouldn't have said that girl" Ashley informed me

"look Eiden doesn't like people saying that especially now that his sister his sick "

I looked sorry but still didn't understand why he behaved that way

We had calculus class ,I didn't see Eiden through out the day again clearly he went home and so did I when school ended.

Anyway before I left I chatted with Ashley and the guys a lot now I'm familiar with them .

I walked into my room still remembering what happened with Eiden. He looks like a good guy but he is hurting someone how making him to be all grumpy and sad.

I wish I didn't ask him who he was expecting when I sat with him.
