chapter 40

Clarie's pov

I looked back and checked on Brian.
He slept finally and that was a relief.

Gosh, the guy can talk. I can't blame him you know, he's the only child.

He kept asking us 'are we were there yet' for over thirty minutes and kept getting 'No' till he slept

"I'm sure you'll love it" Eiden said "it's beautiful and special to me just like you are" he said everything looking at the road but his hand was still with mine.

I looked down at our hands together and a feeling of doubt crept into my mind. I wasn't sure if I was good for Eiden anymore.

Because of me Chris wants to kill him.

Sam's car stopped with a couple of other cars in front, it seems there's a hold up in front.

Eiden looked ahead and said "there's a check point, it's going to take a while because this road is really busy" he sighed and rested his head

He notices my silence and looked at me "are you alright?" he asked moving closer to check me

I nodded briefly and didn't take my eyes off the road

He held my face softly and made me look at him "stop thinking about him please, he won't find us, and if he does" he said with a stern look "I won't let him hurt you, I assure you" he said reassuringly looking into my eyes hypnotising me with his gaze, mesmerising me with his words showing me he really cares about me

I nodded in his hands. "I trust you" I said, and as though that's all he needed. He closed the gap between us and kissed me.

He kissed me like it was my first time, making me have temporary amnesia of all that had happened.

Regardless of all the crap that had happened or what I'm going through the intensity of our kiss was still strong.

I put my hands around his neck pulling him close, and just when we were about to go all crazy Brian woke up. . .

"please don't take off your clothes" he said covering his face with his palms but was still looking through his fingers

Eiden gave a silent growl and rested his head back on the head rest "why did you have to wake up now"

I felt my face heat up and a million butterflies erupt from the depths of my
stomach.

I Smiled when I saw how frustrated Eiden was because Brian woke up.

I smiled because I was really happy.

"I thought you said we'll be there soon Eiden?" Brian whined

"yes I did Brian" Eiden rolled his eyes

"and that was like two hours ago" he wined again

"no Brian, it's been just forty five minutes" I explained looking back

He face palmed himself and groaned "upon that there's traffic" he said looking outside the window

I watched as the wind slowly blew Emily's hair. I've always loved convertible cars, Sam came out of the car to check what was going on since cars were moving at a slow pace.

He got into his car seconds later and started moving.

"wow that was fast" Eiden said as he started the car "It usually wait for about twenty minutes"

"well we are in luck today" Brian celebrated before he started typing on his phone "wow I just got ten more followers in instagram!" he exclaimed

"you are on instagram?" I asked looking back at him with widened eyes
