chapter 12

Eiden's pov
Watching Clarie run away hurt me I'm just trying to keep her safe. Anyway apart from That I just really realised how good it is to spend time with her.

I think with her I can actually keep my cool. I don't know how she does it but she calms me.

I couldn't sleep. I don't know exactly what happened but I just couldn't sleep
All I could do was turn around on the sofa till I heard the sound of the door shut.

I closed my eyes immediately someone started walking down the stairs.

I felt a figure above me. I opened my eyes slightly in a way the person won't see me.

Obviously it was Clarie.
I calmed down because I was getting ready to swing a punch at the intruder

Former Eiden would have freaked out at the presence of Clarie but now that she calms me down maybe it's not bad after all to admit I like her anyway

Weird Yeah I know

Well screw formalities

Feeling her presence near me was nice, I mean I was just there with my arms folded pretending to be comfortable on the couch.

Actually it was whoever bought it must have real good taste.

I was getting tired of faking me sleep I wanted to crack a laugh badly.

Why in the world is she awake any way

"if you take a picture it'll last longer"
I muttered trying to hide my smile but failed

She was scared as hell

She slapped a hand over her chest with a squirm
"Jesus, are you crazy you almost gave me an heart attack"

"was just saying, you've been here for approximately 5 minutes you could have just taken a picture"

"right so you were faking your sleep here I was thinking you were an heavy sleeper, I mean hello this guy stayed to protect me I thought to myself"

I sat up and said" well I couldn't sleep"

"well that makes two of us"
She looked down at the blanket she dropped when I scared her
" here I brought this for you, thought you might be cold"

"well thanks"
"I guess I'm repaying your kind gesture"

"I'll just have some milk and try to sleep"

She walked to the kitchen making me notice her curves in her pyjamas

I felt horrible looking but I just couldn't help my self trust me it was breath taking

Now I know why guys in school drool over her

Just thinking of guys drooling over her made my blood boil

She made herself a cup of milk and went away

I woke up to the yelling of a guy
I stood up immediately thinking it was chris

I looked up and found a different guy

"what the fuck are you doing here!"
He roared

"I'm just—"

I was cut short by the voice that I will never forget so soothing and relaxing

"he stayed over to keep me company and to protect me from someone who was trying to kill me something you couldn't do, Something mum and dad can't do"
Clarie yelled back at the guy who I think is her brother

"what do you mean someone tried to kill you"

"A guy threatened to hurt me yesterday in school Sam
I forgot to tell you yesterday but since you left it just showed that you don't care"

"what do you mean Clarie
If you had told me something I would have never left"

Clarie moved closer to Sam but took a step backwards again

"you smell ..."
She wrinkled her nose
"like a woman... Is that coach
Oh my gosh Sam you fucking left me to go be with some woman"

She said glaring at sam

"that's not the issue her Clarie what's this guy doing here and what about the bastard that wants to hurt you"

"no not this time Sam Parker you are not going to ignore the question
Did you leave me to go hook up with a woman yes or no?"

Wow

She's on fire

I don't know if I should cheer her or save Sam from this untamable beast

"look it's not what you think"

"well the only thing I'm thinking about now is that you betrayed me"

She shook her head

"you left, you are not different from them now
What if Eiden had not come so we could study uh?
Maybe I'll be hurt by now or something"

"look I'm not saying you shouldn't have a life I'm not selfish but I'm just saying you should set your schedule right... I'm sorry but deep down I was scared"

She went up the stairs not angry anymore
She cooled off already

But Sam sure didn't he walked up to me with the deadliest look ever.

He was a few inches taller than I was but that didn't stop his blue eyes from boring into my eyes

"if you think you can take advantage of my sister because I'm not home or our parents aren't you are wrong
You hurt Clarie even the slightest bit and you are dead got that dead"

"yeah sure and besides I was just here to keep her company not here to hurt her
I will never hurt Clarie
And trust me neither will chris"

"Chris uh
Is that the bastard she was talking about"

"yeah
Chris is a scumbag I'll take care of him"

I said meaning it so badly I wanted to go punch him badly in the face

How dare he threaten Clarie
That stupid son of a gun

"you better do cause the only one Who will be getting hurt here is you
And trust me I'll do it effortlessly"

Clarie came down stairs and had a talk with her brother in the kitchen

She came back to the lounge

She was wearing neon green trousers with pink lines on the side and a matching pink bra top

She grabbed the trousers jacket from the chair and wore it

"thank you so much Eiden for staying the night I really appreciate it"
She said with a half smile

With the Mini war Sam and her had I never imagined she'll ever smile again

"it's no problem
I hope I was able to kill your boredom though"

"sure"

"well that's good
I'll be going now Emma is worried sick about me already"

"well... Bye then"
"I'll see you in school then"

She smiled as I took my bag and approached the door

I started my car and it roared to life giving me the sign that it's ready to drive.

A/N: Sorry for the late and short update but writing is kinda stressful it takes me hours and hours to write atleast 500 words not to mention 1000 or more words.
What takes you 5 minutes to read takes me hours to write note.
