Clarie's pov
We were all eating lunch at the dining table when we heard the door bell.
We all stopped talking and turned our heads to the door like we always do when we hear the bell.
"why do all of you turn to the door each time the door bell sounds?" Brian asked looking at our faces
"No reason Brian, eat your food" Ashley said
"but I want to know why you all look like someone wants to kill all of us" he whined "are we in danger?" he asked making me choke on my oxygen
"it's nothing Brian. You know I won't lie to you, the reason we look like this is because we don't expect anyone to come visiting " I said looking at him reassuringly
"right" he muttered playing with his food
The door bell sounded again reminding us someone was there.
"I've been thinking" Eiden said as we both walked to the door "Chris won't actually come through the door you know"
"I know but, we can't predict his actions really" I said
"click, click"
Eiden unlocked the door and the person, I mean people at the door were revealed.
A girl with wavy brown hair with black eyes and a warm smile was standing next to a guy with golden brown hair and blue eyes. They both looked our age.
"sorry if we disturbed you" the girl said "I'm Alex and this hot stuff next to me is Cody" she gestured to guy beside her who flushed pink at her comment.
Cody soon recovered and said "we live a few houses away, close to the beach. We were hoping you'll be able to come for the party we'll be having tomorrow night" he said giving Eiden an invitation card
"oh, yeah we heard about that" I said returning his smile "come on in" I said and it took moving Eiden from the door to make them come in.
"be polite" I whispered in a hushed tone to him and he gave a fake smile making me roll my eyes.
"who is it?" Emma asked coming from the dining room with everyone else
"some neighbors" Eiden said giving her the invitation card "they are inviting us for a party" he added, saying the last part like a bored child
"oh, hi" Emma waved at them
"Hello" Alex beamed, clearly she's happy to have new friends
"I told you I heard about a party" Brian said
"that you won't be attending" Sam ruffled his hair with a mocking smile
"uh, killjoy" Brian whined folding his arms
"we'll try to be there" I said with a reassuring nod and a smile
"from a scale of one to ten, how cool is this part going to be?" Emma asked still reading what was written on the invitation card
"Ten!, and believe me when I say it's going to be the party of the year and I won't miss it if I were you" Cody smiled at Emma
"hmm, we just might come" Emma said shaking Cody's hand like she just made a deal with him
"we'll be expecting y'all" Cody said
"see you then" Alex waved at us as they were about leaving
"bye. . ." Ashley grimaced motivating all of us to say 'bye'
"well?" I asked looking at all of them
"we need to get food stuff for Christmas, and for us to survive literally " Emily said
