Ethan's POV:

It was the next day. Me and Tyler finally got to go home. I made him a promise. I told him that as long as we were together, he would never have to worry about me harming myself. The whole car ride home, I just stared at Tyler. I was so happy that I had him in my life.

"You guys know it's going to be a long time before you can get back to doing what you guys love, right?" Mrs. Scheid said. I didn't even care about gymnastics. As long as I was in Tyler's arms, I would be happy, even if I never could do it again.

"I don't care about football or wrestling. I just want to be with my Blue Boy." He looked at me and smiled.
God I loved him so much. When we got home, we sat down on the couch, just holding each other. We decided to sleep in the living room so that we didn't have to keep going up and down the stairs. Me and him slept on the love seat. Tyler's Mom brought us all the things we needed in the living room, and she brought us our food. She was a really good mother. We mainly watched Netflix, with the occasional bathroom breaks. We really couldn't do much. We were always in pain.

Tyler often got cards, balloons, even some presents, from people all wishing him well. The only thing I got was two cards from Mark and Jack. I still cherished them.

It turned out that those people that beat me were friends of Jordan's, the guy that Tyler beat up. They wanted to get revenge, so they decided to get to the only thing Tyler was close to. Me. To be perfectly honest, I wanted to thank them. Because of this, we were a really tight couple.

Tyler and I started feeling better. Two months out of school and we were ready to go back. My mom came and dropped us off, because neither of us wanted to get behind the wheel yet.

The moment we walked in the cafeteria for breakfast, it was like a celebrity walked in. There was a standing ovation for us. There was a poster that was hung. It said, "Welcome Back Tyler and Ethan"
I never felt so much love from so many people. The principal walked in the room, and everyone went silent.

"Tyler, Ethan. We are terribly sorry for what happened to you guys. The football field wasn't the same with you, Ty. And the plays didn't have that energy you gave off, Ethan. We all got together and got you this." He pointed to the student parking lot. There were two cars. One of them was a brown 1978 Ford Mustang, Tyler's favorite car that he would not shut up about. The other was a black 1967 Chevy Impala, just like the one in Supernatural. It was my dream car.

"Everyone pinched in and got them for you." He held up the keys. "And it all yours. You also have some surprises in the trunk that I think you both will enjoy."

As fast as we could, we grabbed the keys and somewhat ran to the car, the entire school behind us. We reached the trunk, looked at each other, and opened it. I couldn't believe what was inside. There were hundreds of cards, all saying things like how strong I was, how I helped them, and how much they loved us as a couple. They were everywhere except the middle, where a ring sat. I put my hands over my mouth and turned to see Tyler on one knee, with the football team behind him with a sign that said,
"Ethan Nestor, will you marry me?"

Tyler's POV:

Ethan had no idea how long I was planning this. While we were watching Netflix, I was texting my parents all the details that I wanted. I got the entire school in on this. I knew I wanted the proposal to be perfect. They told me that everyone at the school bought me and Ethan both a car. I told them what they should get Ethan, but they didn't tell me what kind mine was though.

I told them that they should have a bunch of cards from everyone in school saying nice things about him surrounding the ring. Everyone thought that was a sweet idea. I got the football team to make the poster and the sign.
