Ethan's POV:
We stayed in his room for three days. I've have been getting food for me and Tyler. My eyes hurt from crying so much, and I'm sure Tyler's hurts too. Robert said that Shane's vitals are looking better. He said that Shane might actually pull through, but I'm still skeptical. I just find this hard to believe that he'll wake up.
Tyler was asleep in the chair next to Shane. I was up when I swore that his eyes opened. My jaw dropped. I shook Tyler awake, saying 'his eyes opened'. When I looked back at him, they were closed. I looked back at Tyler.
"I swore I saw them open.." I said.
"Maybe it was just your imagination, Ethan." He said, his voice still raspy from sleep.
"Yeah.. maybe.." I said, looking back at Shane. I let my eyes fall, falling sleep.
Two hours later
I woke up to the sound of voices. I looked around the room and saw Tyler and Robert standing over his bed.
"—Time here. It's going to be a long recovery, but I'm sure he'll do just fine." Robert said.
"I'm just happy that he actually lived." Tyler responded, he voice cracked from what I assumed was crying.
"I'm strong, Dad." Shane said, his voice resonated his smile.
"Shane?" I'm obviously confused as to what's going on.
"Ethan! Shane's ok!" Tyler exclaimed. I got up from the chair and held on Shane's hand, crying.
"I'm so glad you're ok. I don't know what I would have done without you.." I said. All he did was smile.
"Now can we get you two to sign some paperwork so you can get out of here?" Robert asked.
Twenty minutes later
After all of the paperwork was done, we finally left the hospital. I was driving, Tyler in the passenger with Shane in his lap. We were a happy family once again. Tyler let Mark and Jack know that Shane was ok. We pulled into our driveway and I helped Shane out of the car. Tyler had already went inside.
When Shane and I walked in, the lights were off. I switched them on and everyone we knew was in the kitchen. They all screamed 'surprise'. I looked around and saw a banner that read "Welcome Back Shane!" There was good and drinks everywhere, and everyone had a caring smile on their face."Tyler! How did you plan all this?! We just got home!" I exclaimed, looking around the room once more.
"Well, I have been planning this for the past three days. I knew he was going to wake up. Shane's a fighter." He said, smiling at Shane. I gave them a hug, tears forming in my eyes. We finally dig into the food that was spread all around the kitchen, smiles on everyone's faces.
Throughout the course of My and Tyler's relationship, we have overcame many obstacles. Now I'm glad that the hard times are over and we can be a happy family.
