Tyler's POV:

"This doesn't feel right." I said, looking around to see absolutely no one else here. "A fair is supposed to have plenty of people, right?"

"You would think so, but this place is empty. Tyler, how did you do find this place?" Ethan asked, holding onto Shane.

"Someone was talking about it to me a while back." The air was stale, it was completely silent, and what's even weirder is that there were many cars in the parking lot.

"Mark, I don't like this." Jack said, holding on Mark's arm. We walked around, trying to find someone, anyone. The rides look like they haven't been used in decades, it smelled of rotting food and mold, and with each turn we made, the conditions only got worse.

"Mark, how did you guys find out about this?" I asked.

"We got a little brochure about it in the mail." I just nodded, unsure of what to expect.

"Let's go back. It's obvious this place hasn't been used in a long time." Ethan insisted, and I agreed with him. We all turned back and I swore I saw someone running across the path, and by the looks of the others, they saw it too.

"I'm scared." Shane cowered behind me and Ethan. As we walked to the front gate–which from the outside looked brand new–it was shut and locked.
What did we just walk in to?

"Mark..." Jack pleaded, squeezing Mark's arm.

"How are we going to get out? The gate is locked and the walls are too high to climb." Ethan asked. It was clear, we were set up to be here. Suddenly, there was a loud screeching coming from the speakers, as if it was just turning on.

"Welcome, valued guests. I'm someone you all know. Someone you all hurt." The voice bellowed out, scaring Jack and Ethan. Shane started crying.

"Who are you!" I yelled out.

"In due time, Tyler. In due time." Then the speakers cut off. What the voice said was replaying in my head.

Someone we all hurt.

I thought back to as early as elementary school to think about someone we all hurt. I didn't come up with anything.

"Do you guys have any idea who we hurt?" I asked, giving up. Everyone just shrugged their shoulders. The speakers turned back on.

"Giving up? I'll give you a hint." Then something dropped from the air. I looked and I was in disbelief. There was a stuffed blue bunny. My mind instantly replayed what happened.

Tyler's Flashback

We were in middle school. We went over to Mark's house and hung out. I decided that I needed some fresh air. It was a nice fall day. The trees were different shades of orange, red, and even a little green. There was a little wind. I walked along the left side of the road, when I saw this brown-haired boy, about the same age as me, in the street with a blue bunny. I just walked past him, thinking that he was just playing. I went down to the park and sat down on a bench, deep in thought. My phone went off after five minutes of sitting.

Ethan: Tyler? Where are you? Why did you just leave like that?

Me: it's nothing...

Lies

Ethan: I just told you the biggest secret of my life and you walk off like that? No, something is wrong. Everyone is worried. I'm worried.

I got off the bench and walk to a clearing in the woods. It was beautiful. The trees were an amazing shade of orange, which matched with the orange sky. I could see three stars. I didn't know why, but they reminded me of Ethan's beautiful blue eyes. I smiled to myself, thinking about how adorable he actually was. It was then that I realized my feelings for Ethan. I pulled out my phone and texted Ethan back.

Me: I'm fine Ethan, really. Just tell everyone that I'll be back soon. I just need some time to think, alright?

I sent the text and sighed. I couldn't be gay. There was no way that I was, but Ethan, he's perfect. But I couldn't think like that. He was my best friend. I looked up at the pink sky.

"I'm going to take him here and tell him the truth." I decided to walk back to Mark's house, still admiring how pretty nature was. I saw that same boy, in the same spot. As I walked past, I heard him sniff. It was then that I realized that he was crying. I bent down and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, buddy. What has you so bothered that you're crying on the curb?" I asked. He looked up and he had emerald eyes, filled with tears.

"I just.. realized that I'm gay..." he confessed. I just looked at him.

"Hey, my best friend just came out today. If he can do it, and he has really bad depression and anxiety, I'm sure you can." I told him. I didn't want anyone to feel bad that they were different, even though that's exactly how I felt. He looked up at me and just stared. He was leaning in, and I was nervous. When his lips hit mine, it shocked me. I pulled away, turning from him and ran to Mark's house, stepping on his blue bunny.
