Tyler's POV:
I was devastated. All I could do was scream. Shane was taken from us, and there was nothing that I could do about it. I got up, attempting to follow where that guy went with Shane, but I got lost. I looked around, nothing looking familiar. I fell to my knees and screamed the loudest I ever had in my life. Then I saw the office, where the mic would be. I got up and ran to the door, adrenaline coursing through my body. I kicked it down to see the son-of-a-bitch sitting at the desk, holding Shane. He had a wicked smile on his face.
"Hi Tyler. I see you joined me and my son. It's a pleasure to finally see you again." Michael said, way too calm for the fact that he knows that I'm going to kill him.
"If you hurt Shane, I'm going to bury you!" I yelled. I wasn't about to let him do anything to my precious little boy.
"If you want Shane back, you'll have to fight." He said.
"Bring it asswipe." He stood up, but didn't walk towards me.
"John, do your job." Before I had the chance to question, the guy that took Shane from Mark walked up, cracking his knuckles. Michael laughed.
"What, you thought I was going to fight you? Ha! You're even more stupid that I thought you were." He walked out, holding Shane by the back of his neck. I tried to follow them, but "John" pushed me down to the ground. I looked closer at him."John? Didn't we used to play football together in college?" I asked after I recognized him.
He looked at me, then he looked surprised. "Oh my god, Tyler! Shit, I didn't know that it was you that we were coming after. Bro, look, it I would have known, I would have killed the guy myself." He said, picking me up from the ground.
"Thanks John. Do you know where he would have gone?" I asked, hoping that he would know something.
"Yeah. His car is over by the back-side. He's headed to the airport and going to Georgia." I swore under my breath. If he makes it to the airport, then Shane wouldn't be mine because Georgia is still against gays. Meaning that they won't recognize that I—we—adopted Shane.
"Can you take my to my friends?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure man." He walked out and lead me to where everyone was. Mark was standing, holding the, now crying, Jack. And Ethan was next to them. Ethan looked at me and screamed,"Tyler! He's behind you!"
Once I was near them, I told them about how me and John used to play football together back in college. I also told them that we need to hear to the airport.
"Why do we need to go the airport?" Mark asked.
"Because Michael is going to go to Atlanta to void our adoption."
"Fucking bitch."
"We need to hurry if we are going to catch him!" I practically yelled. Ethan, John, and I got in our car, Mark and Jack got in theirs. We headed straight for LAX.
I didn't want to believe that I kid like Shane could have such an evil father. I would give anything to have him back in Ethan and my arms. I was speeding down the highway, trying to catch up to Michael. Luckily, there were not that many other cars on the highway."John, do you know what kind of car he's driving?" I asked him, trying to see if I could stop him before he got there.
"Yeah, he's driving a blue Ford GT." John answered. I was looking down the road when I spotted the car, then I hit the pedal to the metal. Once I finally caught up to him, I hit the back of his car. He started to lose control of the car and it hit the ditch and flipped over three times before it came to test upside down. I stopped and ran straight to the car, the gun in my hand. I was near the car when I stated to smell leaking gas. I tried to open the passenger door, but it wouldn't open. I started to panic. My son was in this car and there is no telling when it will go in flames.
I kicked the window, trying to make it break. When it finally broke, I tried to get Shane out of the car as fast as possible. I pulled him out and ran back to my car. As I was running I was yelling, "Ethan! Get in the driver side! We need to go now!"
I saw Ethan get in and I quickly jumped in the passenger side. Not too long after I got in, Mark and Jack pulled up behind us. I told Ethan to hit it and we sped off to the hospital, Mark and Jack close behind us.
