HERE'S YOUR DOUBLE

Mitch's POV
We get home and walk inside to see Connie on the couch.
"Boys! I got a call from the school saying you weren't there. I also got calls from your parents, Mitch. They said something about your sister being there to take care of you? I hope you know that even though you'll be with her--" Scott cuts her off.
"His sister is homophobic, mom. He's not staying there." He tells her. She looks at me and I avoid eye contact, afraid I'll cry again.
"I'm so sorry, Mitch. Maybe I can invite her over and you can talk it out. She's probably just uneducated about--"
"Connie, please." I say.
"Mom, he can't stay with her. She's 20 years old, I doubt you can change her mind if she feels so against the subject." Scott says, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
"Okay, Mitch, you can stay. I'm sorry I tried to argue about it, you deserve someone who can not only accept you, but support you 100% as well."
"Thank you so much." I tell her before Scott and I go upstairs to his room.
"Are you okay?" He asks me after he closes the door.
"I-I don't know.." I answer, honestly.
"What are you feeling?" He asks me, concerned.
"That's the thing, I feel numb. I should be sad and angry and feel hatred towards my family, but I feel nothing."
"Ok, do you want to lay down for a little bit?" He asks.
"Actually, can we go to the mall for clothes? I wanna forget about what happened."
"Of course, babygirl. We can do whatever you want."
"Anything I want, huh?" I say, smirking, wrapping my arms around his neck. He laughs and places his hands on my hips.
"Yeah, but you already chose shopping. Maybe next time." He replies with a wink, grabbing my hand and bringing me downstairs.
"Ugh, you hate me." I joke. He smiles at me and playfully gasps.
"Congrats! You finally figured it out." I slap his arm, making us both laugh.
"I'll beat you up!" I tell him, playfully.
"Yeah?" He asks, a small smirk on his lips.
"Yeah." I say, biting my lip.
"Aww, but you're so little." He says, messing up my hair. I start to charge at him but he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.
"Put me down, you giant!" I yell in between my laughter. Soon, I'm being thrown into the bed and he tickles me, pinning my wrists down with one hand.
"S-Scott, s-stop" I laugh. He continues his assault for a little longer until he stops and pecks me on the lips before letting me go.
"You're an ass." I tell him, trying to hide my smile, but failing miserably.
"And you have a cute ass. I guess we complete each other." He says, pulling me so I'm laying completely on top of him. We lay there for a few minutes before I start to get hungry.
"Scottyyyyy." He chuckles.
"Whaaatttt?"
"As fun as it is laying on you, mommy needs her food." After I say that, he hops out of bed and strikes a 'superhero pose'.
"Fret not, citizen, for I am here to help! To the mall!" I laugh and stand up.
"Dork."
"Oh come on. You know you love it."
"I do. I also love food. Let's go, superman." I say, walking past him, out the door.
