Ann's POV

I was at my best friend's house, Lisa, planning my wedding with Race. I was super exited that I was marrying the love of my life. We were looking at wedding dress magazines when Lisa spoke up.

"Have you heard about what happens after the wedding?" She asked as she flipped a page.

"What do yous mean?" I asked slightly confused. I was starting to get worried on what she meant.

"After people get married they always change. Sometimes the husband can become abusive. Other times after they have children the husband just leaves without a trace" She said casually like it was nothing. I was getting very afraid now. I know Race would never hurt me but Lisa could be right. I couldn't focus on the wedding anymore as all I could think about is if Race would actually do that.

"Um I have to go" I said as I quickly gathered my things and left before Lisa could say anything. I walked out of her house as my eyes started watering. I love Race so much and I don't want any of that to happen. I arrived at the small apartment Race and I lived in. I opened the door and quickly went to the washroom ignoring Race's calls.

"Ann, what's wrong?" Race asked with a worried voice. I ignored him as I washed my face trying to make it look like I wasn't crying. "Come on Ann. Open up. Please?" Race said. I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. Once Race saw me he pulled me into a hug. I immediately started crying again.

"Shh Ann everything will be okay" Race said as he led me to the living room. We sat down on the couch as he stroked my pixie cut brown hair. I leaned into his chest trying to calm down. I finally started to calm down and soon I was all out of tears. 

"So what happened? What's wrong?" Race asked once I was done crying.

"Um n-nothing really" I said wiping away my tears. Race gave me a stern look before talking.

"That was nothing really, Ann. What's wrong?" Race asked once again. I sighed before answering.

"Well Lisa told me these thing about what happens after the wedding" I said quietly but Race could still hear. 

"What things?" He asked.

"That the husband can become abusive and that after we have children that you would leave me" I said looking at my hands. 

"Do yous really believe that?" Race asked a little shocked.

"Um k-kinda" I said not making eye contact with him. 

"Ann look at me" Race said as he tilted my chin up so we made eye contact. "That will never happen. Ise will never abuse yous or anyone. Ise will never leave yous after we have kids or ever. Ise love yous so much. Don't ever forget that" Race said softly. I smiled knowing Race was being honest. I leaned up and pecked his lips.

"Thank you Race. I love yous too" I said happily.
