Max's POV

I walked to the Manhattan lodging house to surprise my boyfriend Racetrack. I walked in and saw Crutchie, Specs and Albert talking with on another.

"Heya Max" Crutchie said once he saw walk in.

"Hey Crutchie. Have you guys seen Race anywhere?" I asked as I glanced around.

"He's around here somewhere" Specs said as he also glanced around.

"I'm right here" I heard making me turn around to see Race with a smile on his face. His blonde hair was all mess sticking out from under his cap and he had a cigar in his hand.

"Hello Love" I said leaning up to peck his lips.

"I wasn't expecting you today" Race said still smiling.

"I could leave.." I said heading to the door pretending to leave. Race grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.

"No. Stay. I'm glad you came" He said pulling me closer to him. "How about we go up to the roof" Race said to me.

"Okay come on" I said as I pulled him towards the stairs. We walked up until we finally made it to the roof.

"Look at that. It's beautiful up here" I said staring off into the streets of Manhattan. "But I'd rather stare at you"  I told Race.

"Really? Ise nothin compared to this view" Race said but I could see he was slightly blushing.

"You're much more. You're amazing. I would chose you over this view anyday" I said which made him smile.

"Yous gotta stop doin that" Race said coming closer to me.

"Doing what?" I asked slightly confused.

"Saying things that make me wanna kiss yous" Race said staring deep into my eyes.

"Is there something wrong with kissing me?" I asked.

"Of course not. But the problem is.." He said as he started to lean in. "If Ise kiss you Ise don't think I'd be able to stop" He said now inches from my lips.

"Maybe I wouldn't want you to stop" I said and then connected our lips. They fit perfectly together like two jigsaw pieces. They moved in sync as fireworks went off in my head. Everytime we kissed it was perfect and I never wanted it to end.

a/n- just wanted to let everyone know that I have a 80s/90s gif imagines book up. It's mostly 80s movie characters and celebrities but it has the movie newsies in it too.
