Ariel
We get to the park and everyone's here except Amari. Mia's parents, my friends including Khyree, Leah, and Ty. I let Leah bring Kiyah, Macy pulled up with Drew, and Mila brought Brayden.
It's hot and we been waiting for 30 minutes. "I'm surprised she ain't with you" A.J says looking at Khyree.
He shrugs. "She told me she was chilling with her dad and I ended up smoking and falling asleep so I wasn't even paying attention, then this morning she said she was gone meet me here but I ain't heard shit else" He says.
Mia's phone buzzes. She looks at it and laughs. "It's Amari talking bout she ain't gone be able to make it" She says. I look at her and she rolls her eyes. "Well it's hot and it's my baby's birthday so come on" She says making Ty smile.
We shows the security our passes and walk in. "Lead the way Ty" I say and he starts talking and looking around.
About a hour in everyone started to get hungry so now we're at one the restaurants waiting to order food.
A waitress comes and takes our orders. "This is so cute" Macy says. "I need a shirt or some" She adds.
"I wanna get Brie some Mickey Mouse Ears" Geo says.
We all talk and eat and enjoy the theatrics of the Disney characters. The bill comes and Mia's ass hands her card to the waitress.
The waitress soon comes back and hands it back. "Um, it said your card was declined" She says.
"That don't even sound right" Charisma says. "Are you sure?" She asks looking at the waitress.
The waitress nods shyly. "I-I can try again" She says.
I shake my head and hand her my card. "Nah you good" I say thinking back to what my dad said. The waitress leaves and I lean over to Mia. "Check all your accounts right now" I mumble.
She grabs her phone out her purse and as she starts logging in to her phone the waitress brings me my card and receipt.
I tip along with everyone else who's puts cash down. We all get up and start towards the door. Mia grabs my arm and hands me her phone. "What?" I ask taking it.
She doesn't say anything but her face turning red is telling me everything I need to know. "All my money is gone Ariel" She says quietly.
Her eyes start watering and I mentally groan. A.J jogs back over. "Y'all good, we- woah what's wrong?" He asks looking between Mia and I.
I laugh and he steps back. "A.J, we gotta go, like right now" I say. I stand in front of Mia and wipe her face. "Tell her parents to come here but don't say none" I add.
He walks off. "Ariel...all of my money is gone" Mia says.
"Bae I know-" I start but she cuts me off.
She shakes her head. "No, all my accounts, they're empty, like everything, not just the one I showed you" She says.
Mia's parents walk over to me. "A.J said-" Mr. Brooks starts till he sees Mia. "Why the fuck are you crying?" He asks.
"Her money is gone, all of it" I say.
Mrs. Brooks grabs Mia's phone. "You had well over-" She starts.
"I know ma" Mia says wiping her face. "I need yall to stay here with Ty please, I don't wanna ruin his birthday" She says. "Ima call yall later and tell him Ima have him another party at our house tonight" She adds.
Her mom nods and looks at me. "You good?" She asks.
"I will be soon" I answer. "We gone head to my parents house and I'll keep yall updated" I say.
