Chapter 23, What Casanovas do.

Y/N's POV:

I wake up because of my alarm and Zane yelling at Garroth for some reason. It has been 3 weeks since the end of July, and also the fight with Laurance. We are reconciled though. I mean we still are. Today is the first day of sophomore year and I'm worried. I mean, not only because of tests or homework, but because of what Gene wrote me in that note. If it happens, I'll just... I don't know. It'll probably prove that no matter how many chances I give this relationship, it can't work out. 

I walk down the stairs and hear Zane and Garroth arguing because of Zane's cupcakes. Well, they aren't really his. He just eats most of them, so he claims they are his. He is yelling at my twin because apparently, he ate his last cupcake. Now I don't even know how Garroth even got to a single cupcake because when our mom makes a batch or two of that delicious goodness, Zane leaves one for each except me, my mom and dad, for which he leaves two for each. So after he leaves us some cupcakes, he takes the rest up to his room and they are never heard of again until the next batch. Shoot! I need to get ready! I make myself a sandwich so I can eat it while walking to school, fill up my water bottle, because duh, I gotta stay hydrated, and I go upstairs to get dressed and all of that. 

(Y/N = Y/N, Laurance = L)

L: Hey N/N! Wanna walk to school together?

Y/N: Sure, why not.

L: Okay well, I'll see you in 15 minutes?

Y/N: You will. 

L: Great, see ya! 

Y/N: See you in a bit!

I don't want to lose him. We went trough so much. Now, if I lose him to some random girl, that'd be horrible. I thought of scenarios like those while I got ready, which didn't really help my already glum mood. I went downstairs to see my parents awake and all my siblings in their uniforms and backpacks.

"Sis, are you done yet? You take so long!" Vylad asks

"Yeah, but you guys can go ahead. I'm walking with Laurance." I say

"I thought you guys had a fight." Zane says

"We did, but we're fine now." I assured him

"Dang it! Just when I wanted him out of our lives!" He says

"Why do you hate him that much anyways?" Vylad asks

"Because he hurt Y/N, it's obvious." Zane says

"Alright guys, we have to leave now if you want time to check out the school." Garroth says

"Bye mom, bye dad!" My three brothers say and they leave.

"I'm going to go too, bye mom and dad!" I say and kiss them on the cheeks.

"Good luck Y/N!" They both say

I left in the direction of my boyfriend's house. But before I could reach it, I see Gene and Dante walk out of a beautiful white house. 

"Y/N! Hey!" I hear Dante yell and I turn around to see him running my way.

He finally reaches me and hugs me.

"We saw each other 3 days ago Dante." I say

"Yes, BUT, it's the first day of the new school year and I feel bad for everyone so... sorry for the loss of your best friend, summer vacation." He says
