Chapter 8, He broke you.

Y/N's POV:

I can't believe we are already halfway trough the year. Garroth is dating Teodora and Dante is dating some girls. I think one was called Kawaii-Chan and the other one Nicole. He's cheating on them, but that's none of my business. I'm not doing well. I just have Garroth, Teodora and Dante. I haven't bothered talking to other people because I can't trust anyone at the moment. Laurance tried to talk with me. I would always try to go and tell him to back off. But Garroth held me back saying the same thing over and over.

"He broke you. Don't bother." He would say

And I didn't go. I left Laurance with his new pals. I left him in his misery. I know he was sad because he had that look in his eyes. I was always holding back tears. I didn't care about why he joined them. I just cared about the fact that he actually risked something apparently amazing in his life. Why would he risk it? To get better friends? To be more popular? I just want to be invisible at this point. I'm in my room right now. I'm listening to "I Have Questions" because it fits my mood. I hear weird bits of conversation coming from downstairs.

"Don't go see her. You hurt her and you still think..."

"THIS IS WHAT I NEED TO DO! IT'S BEEN HURTING ME! I NEED TO TELL HER!"

"LAURANCE! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BROKEN UP WITH HER!"

"YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THIS IS ABOUT!"

I go down the stairs.

"BOTH OF YOU, SHUT UP!" I yelled

"Y/N?!" they both said

"What?!" 

"You're crying?" Laurance asked

"You think this is easy for me? You broke my heart so much, I think I will never love again." 

"Y/N......I...."

"Laurance how about you spit out why in the world of Irene you did what you did?"

"Go ahead Laurance. I need an explanation too." Garroth said

"Okay. Gene said that if I don't join, he would hurt Y/N. And he said some things... I couldn't even bear to hear them. And I joined. But, he still said this would hurt her. He also said something else I'm not allowed to share."

"YOU CAN'T SHARE IT?! YET YOU ARE HERE TO EXPLAIN AND POSSIBLY REDEEM YOURSELF?!"

"I CAN'T TELL YOU! IT HAS TO BE KEPT A SECRET!"

"I have a question about this 'thing' he said." I said

"What?"

"Will it hurt me?"

"Yes."

"And you let that happen?!"

"I need to."

Garroth then stepped in.

"IF YOU WERE IN Y/N'S PLACE, WHAT WOULD YOU FEEL?!"

I left. I was crying, again. I can't bear to see them fighting. They were best friends. Not anymore. I was Laurance's friend and I should've stayed that way. I was dumb. I still am. I thought I could forgive him? What did I expect? He joined a stupid group all about hurting people. I heard a door slam. Then someone ran over to me and hugged me. Garroth.

"I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"You are truly brave."

"And I truly love you."

"I love you too sister. Should I say little sister?"

"Just by 2 minutes!"

"It's still something!" 

I actually laughed. I haven't done that in so long, it hurt.

"I MADE YOU LAUGH! SCORE!"

"Garroth stop it. Santa Claus can hear us."

"He doesn't exist."

"Exactly."

"Good point. I'll lower my voice."

"Thank all the potatoes."

I was stopping to cry.

"Hi kids!" I heard our mom say

"Hey." we both said

"Where are you?" 

We were behind the stairs

"Behind the stairs." I said

"I'm coming to tickle you!"

"NO!" I started running and smiling.

Mom caught me. And she saw my red eyes and puffy cheeks. 

"Y/N, were you crying?" 

"Yes."

I told her everything. She hugged me and Garroth joined in. Then I felt a bunch of other hands. Zane, Vylad and Dad had joined in.

"I love you all." I said

"We love you too." They all said, even Zane.

Then I saw Laurance staring out of the window. I didn't care.

"Why is Laurance looking out the window?" Vylad said

"THAT'S IT! LAURANCE, YOU'RE DEAD!" Garroth said

He went outside. Laurance saw him and started running. Garroth ran after him. He came back a few minutes later. It was funny in some way. I grinned.

"What happened?" I asked

Garroth was smirking

"He won't bother you anymore." He was still smirking

"Okay... thanks?"

"No problem."

And we ate! FOOD! I love food more than boys! Food needs to be my new boyfriend.

"Y/N stop eating the food like you love it." Garroth said

"Can you read my mind?"

"I think it comes with the whole twin thing." My mom said

"Probably." Dad said

"I bet you that's why." Vylad said

"Why can't I have a twin?" Zane said

We all laughed. And then we watched a movie all together. I'm healing, slowly. But I still don't like Laurance Zvahl. He won't be forgiven so easily.
