Chapter 18, Because It's my biggest fear...

Sick YN's POV:

Yup. I have a cold for sure. I have a bad fever and Laurance doesn't care one bit that he can catch it from me. He is right next to me while we're watching a movie and we're hugging. Garroth basically fell asleep the first second of the movie. Laurance puts his backhand to my forehead.

"Your fever got worse. I'll ask Garroth if I can stay over." Laurance says

"You don't have to do that." I say

"I do."

"He can stay....no problem... Oh hi unicorn....Haha..." Garroth says before he goes back to dreaming

"What is he dreaming about?" I start giggling

"I wonder about that guy sometimes..." Laurance says and we start to laugh

"Owwww... Bad part to this all is when I laugh, my headache gets worse." I say 

Laurance kisses my forehead.

"It will all be fine. I promise you." He says

We kept on watching the movie until I fell asleep. From there, I don't remember. You know how when you have a fever, you tend to have nightmares? That's what happened to me.

Nightmare:

I woke up for school, like it was a normal morning. I felt great, as if I'd never even gotten that stupid cold. I checked the time and I realized I had to get to school.

Timeskip to school:

I reached school. Garroth wasn't here, no one was. I just walked in. It was empty and the bell didn't even ring, which was peculiar. I walked to my locker. 

"Where are you going?" Asked Laurance, making me jump because he was behind me.

I tried hugging him.

"What are you doing? Did you forget I broke up with you?" 

"You did?!" I asked tears already forming.

"Yes, I told you a million times. I'm a Shadow Knight and I forgot about you. There is a million girls prettier than you in this school. I just used you." He told me

"I don't believe you..." I say, already crying

"This will help you believe." He said as he pushed me to the ground and left.

"What in the world of-"

"Y/N!!! Y/N!! SIS!!" I hear someone screaming

"N/N!!!" I hear another voice and I wake up.

End of nightmare.

I wake up with difficulty and I see Garroth and Laurance sigh in relief. 

"You were crying in your sleep so I woke up Garroth. What happened?" Asked Laurance

"I need to tell you alone, no offence Garroth." I say

"None taken, really." He assured me

"Did the movie finish nicely?" I asked

"Please don't change the subject." Said Laurance

"Fine." I said

With difficulty, and with Laurance's help, I managed to go to a private spot in the house. Behind the stairs. I told him all about my nightmare. At the end of my explaining, Laurance was in tears and was hugging me.

"You know I wouldn't do that, right?" He asked

"Yes, but it seemed extremely real. I'm sorry." I said, also starting to tear up.

"N/N, you know why I joined the Shadow Knights. You also know I wouldn't use you like that. Why have a nightmare about a thing like this?" He asked, calming down

"Because It's my biggest fear." I say looking at him

"Oh, Y/N..." He said before kissing me.

"I would NEVER do that to you. Also, I thought your biggest fear is insects, specifically spiders?" He asked (A/N: ANNBETH CHASE!!!) 

"Oh well, close second are spiders." I say laughing lightly 

"Sure... Wanna go watch something?" He asks

"FOOD CHANNELS!!!" I yell

"Okay, sheesh. Let's go." He says 

I somehow manage to get to the couch without falling down and then I jump on the couch.

"What did you do?" Asked Garroth

"Nothing. I just want to watch food channels." I say innocently 

"Here we go...." Garroth says

Then Laurance, Garroth and I sat down on the couch and watched TV for the rest of the weekend. Oh yeah, and mom and dad called asking if I was better since Garroth had told them I was sick. They were relieved to know my fever was going down and they let Laurance stay as long as he wanted to. They were out of the city with Zane and Vylad for 2 weeks. Nice time to prepare pranks to pull on Vylad since he pulls pranks on me sometimes...
