We walked in silence for a long time. No one coughed or sneezed. Just an empty silence engulfed us. Throughout this quietness, I could feel his hard stare penetrating the back of my head.

This kid just loved to openly stare at people. I couldn't take this anymore. Why was he still hanging around me! Ugh. This more trouble than it's worth, but what is it worth? Maybe when he went to the bathroom I could ditch him.

I certainly wasn't going to try to fight him. I had multiple bruises, glass in the top of my head, and a possibly sprain ankle. Those tables don't feel like a bucket of roses when you slam into them.

I couldn't believe he was this strong. I mean I've encountered a small group of strong people, but this guy was much stronger than those guys. However I still knew one person stronger than anybody and I hope to never see his shitty face again.

Back on topic, I knew the perfect way to ditch him.

"I have to go to the bathroom." I said innocently.

He looked up at me from his feet and grunted in response. I guess that was an okay. We walked a little ways before reaching a Shell gas station. I waltzed in, turning around to see if he followed me in.

He didn't, but I could still get away if I went the back way. I squeezed into the small and filthy bathroom. Above the one and only toilet was a window. I balanced myself on the lid of the seat.

My combat boots were slowly slipping off. I needed to hurry. If I were to fall; it would create a ruckus and no doubt, he would come rushing in. I roughly pushed up the bug covered window and blew the dust of the bottom.

Crap, this is a small window. Will I fit? I asked myself in doubt. I put one boot out and then the next. I sucked in my thin stomach and braced for the fall. It wasn't too high up, but with my hurt ankle, it would probably be hard to land gracefully.

I didn't look back at the gas station before I jumped. The ground was hard and flat. I tumbled horribly sideways. I had almost hit a rose bush.

Phew thank you for the brick wall being so close that I was able to push off from the side.

I then took off in a sprint dodging cars and holes in the road. That's how long it's been since somebody tried to fix this dump.

I came across several chain link fences and I grabbed the top with one hand and swung my feet over with the other.

I had made it a couple miles away from the gas station when I felt something touch my shoulder.
