day 3.

"Yeah. Delko. Yes.... I know... No,H. I'll tell Calleigh and Speed."
"Speed!" he hit his friends back "wake up. There's been another one."
"Shit...what time is it?"
"5 am".
"Gee...I've just fallen asleep..."
He looked at Delko's tired eyes
"Oh all right. I"m going to take a quick shower. "
"Wake Cal up. She needs to go too."
"Why me? She'll kill me..."
"You're older" he grinned.
Speed knocked. "Calleigh?"
No response
"Calleigh?" In a louder voice
"What!!!!" The door opened and Cal was standing at the door in her pajamas. "What do you want!!!"
"Oops... Samara has awaken" Speed made a quick joke.
"Be careful, Speed" said Eric. "She's not fully awake yet.that means danger" Speed fled straight to the bathroom.
15 mins later he sat in the kitchen and sipped some coffee. Calleigh was dressed in jeans and blouse, make-up was ready and teeth were clean
"Wow...Cal, you're fast".
She looked at him wearily.
"I always get up fast when it's dispatch... But you woke me up so suddenly."
"Sorry...Eric told me to."
"Phew....Coward... "
"Yeah... More coffee?"
"Yeah. Thanks".
10 mins later they were all ready to go.
"Like the old times mate, huh?"
"Yeah, Delko...like the old times.
But this time I"m not going to the clean lab, but to the smelly morgue."
"Soon, Tim." Cal smiled "soon you will. I believe that. Meanwhile try not to prepare 20 samples from the body..."
"Yeah;) I'll try. Thanks Cal. "
"Yeah. Me too".
"No problem. You owe me."
They said bye and separated fast at the garage.
"Thanks for coming so soon"
"Sure H. What's up?"
"Jesse and Melissa found another one. The head belongs, as you surely think to Scott's daughter, the rest is a white male around 30."
"Male????" Calleigh looked surprised.
"Yeah. Strange huh? Mel and Jesse come back about 11 and now the morgue shift is gonna prepare sth for us. Let's go to check the scene once again. "

"Oh crap! Natalia got up with the alarm clock. Looked at her watch- 6.30. Time to get up.
She was so tired after the late shift, but everyone was. Horatio was working even more, Mel and Jesse finished late, and Calleigh Eric and Tim were already there. She ate quick breakfast and ran to work. Entering, she saw Eric's face thru the glass. He was so focused on the thing he was doing he didnt even notice her.
"Hello Prince" she smiled. "How's it going?"
"3 hours.... 3 hours of playing with this guy's toys. A new victim."
"What? Really?"
"Yeah. You've got yours in your room, and we're still waiting for the ones from the morgue. There will be whole lotta it as Speedle is on his shift." He rolled his eyes.
"That's good Eric, don't be annoyed. His samples are great, opposite to other shifts".
"I know. But there are so many..."
Yeah ;) thats true. Was he always like that?"
" yeah. A pain in the ass" he smiled.
" Id better be going."
"Well' Eric thought 'they all have got someone close, maybe I should think of it too?' He had a relationship with Nat previously but it didn't finish well...we'll see.
"Hey people! " He heard the voice.
"Jake? Jake Berkeley? "
"Hi Delko. Yeah it's me. I'm here for a month just to support. How are you man? "
"Fine, but tired".
"How's Calleigh? I forgot my flowers today" he laughed aloud.
"Fine. She's already got somebody I must warn you" - Eric finally liked Jake Berkeley, although it wasn't love at first sight.
"Oh yeah?" He was visibly surprised.
"Did you think she will wait until you stop undercover again?" Eric smiled at Jake's face expression.
"A cop?"
"Not really. A physioterapist."
"What?a man without a gun?"
"Yeah. Strange, huh?"
"Yeah... How long?"
"For over a month.. And he"s younger than you ;)"
"Oh..." Jake was confused. Eric thought that it is an unusual sight to see Jake Berkeley confused
"Ooo..ok. I'm outta here. Need to go to the morgue". He turned around to leave
Yeah...many surprises awaited Jake , another one will wait in the morgue..

"Alexx, wanna cup of coffee?" The lunch break was a bit earlier today as they just finished the processing
"No Tim. I need to eat first. Did you eat anything?"
"Eerm... Not yet."
"I've go one for you."
They sat and eat together.
"So...how's Courtney?"
"Fine. 5 more days."
"Did you think of the wedding yet?"
"She probably did, I didn't have much time so far."
"She prefers the church wedding huh?"
"I don't know. Probably. "
"And you?"
"I don't care. I don't want an event for 300 people. I don't have family around except you. That makes...about 10 people. "
"And her?"
" Not too many I guess. But her brother is famous in the neighbourhood so..."
"You're worried?"
"No. I can even get married in the church if it's valid. Idk if it's possible with me not believing in any God. I just wanna call her my wife by the law. With all of you by my side it doesn't matter where or when".
"Oh... It's sweet."
"Is it? I'm not a romantic... I know that women dream of white dress and so on, so I'm ready to make exceptions and do it her way as long as it's valid. "
"You won"t invite your parents?"
"I don"t have parents. I have you and Jeffrey and Horatio. And you will be invited of course. And I've got Harry. His relationship with Cal makes two accompanying guests less". He chuckled. Got up and took their cups to fill it with coffee again in the kitchenette
She smiled "yes it does."
She didn't say more but she was touched. That he treats her like that. She really liked that lunches with him, working with him. They got close together thanks to it again, and she would keep him here as long as it takes. She also knew in her heart that he's a CSI not a morgue tech.
"Mornin'" the loud voice woke her from her dreams. "Anyone???"
"We're here". She shouted.
There was Jake Berkeley standing in the doorway. "Dr Woods?"
"Hello dt. Berkeley. Here again?"
"Yes. For a while. I came to ask some questions. "
"We're having a lunch break " Tim said from behind. "Give us 15 mins to finish coffeee. I can also make you some if you want."
Berkeley looked at Speed with a strange look, but said nothing as they actually never met.
"Yeah... Sure. I'm Jake Berkeley btw."
"Tim Speedle. Speed. " Tim nodded.
Berkeley looked enlightened. "What??? THE Tim Speedle?"
"One and only."
"Back from the grave?"
"Kinda".
"Oh..ok. No questions asked I guess?"
"Not really." Speed smiled. He liked that guy at the first sight. Didn't know why, but he did. He brought a cup for him.
"You're here because?"
"I want to see a vic. I'll be working here for a while until..."
"...until you'll get back to undercover?" Alexx asked with a little sarcasm. Speed noticed Alexx' nervousness and wondered why.
"Yeah, kinda. I also want to talk to her." Her? Tim wondered
"She's at the scene now. Leave her alone, Jake. Don't start again. She had a tough year."
"Dr. Woods, with all the respect I'm not gonna ask you for permission. thanks for the coffee, Speedle. Was nice to meet you. And now the vic. "
"Drawer 6" Alexx said in cool tone.
He left and Speed was dying to ask her what's going on.
When she came back she said "he was Calleigh's boyfriend once or twice. Comes and goes. She doesn't deserve it. It's better for her to be with your brother."
"Surely is" speed thought 'but it's not you to decide it..'.
Then he took the ready samples and walked out to the CSI building.
