Jimin stood across the kitchen glaring at Yun Hee, as she prepared dinner. Taehyung claimed he would be home to visit Yoo Na, but hadn't given a time when he would be there, nor a text the whole day. Yun Hee always invited Jimin and Min Ki over on Thursdays for dinner. Yoo Na and Min Ki had disappeared into the living room to watch a movie together. “So, are you going to explain what's going on with your boss?”

Yun Hee froze, then slammed the knife down on the cutting board in front of her. She whipped around to face Jimin with a dark look in her eyes. “Excuse me?”

Jimin narrowed his eyes at her with a scowl forming. “He was trying to challenge your husband. He's interested in you.”

Yun Hee scoffed, staring back at Jimin like he grew a second head. “He's just friendly! You're so paranoid. Why are you worried anyway!? It doesn't affect you. Taehyung doesn't seem to care, why should you?”

“Taehyung is an idiot. That guy was undressing you with his eyes. Taehyung is just stubborn and won't listen to reason. He's been acting different. I don't know what's wrong with him.”

“He doesn't love me anymore,” Yun Hee whispered. She turned back around to resume making dinner. Jimin sighed, shaking his head in defeat. He had no idea how to help, he owed so much to this couple. Jimin had to fight the part of him that wanted to laugh and just take Yun Hee for himself rubbing it in Taehyung’s face. The part of him that wanted to show Ji Yong up and make his own claim on the woman he’d loved for years.

Just as Jimin opened his mouth to protest, the front door burst open and Taehyung slammed against the wall partially sliding down it. Yoo Na took off running from the living room to greet her dad. “Daddy! You're finally home!” She squealed in delight.

Both Jimin and Yun Hee rushed to the door. They were stunned, frozen, and speechless as they  saw the state he was in. Disheveled hair, flushed cheeks, eyes that couldn't seem to concentrate, Taehyung lies on the floor disjointed.  The stench of alcohol was severe, stinging their noses.

Yoo Na ran up and wrapped her arms around her father.  She rattled on about how happy she was to see him. Taehyung abruptly pushed her away from him, causing her to fall backwards. She landed with a soft thud, her eyes already welling with tears. Jimin immediately scooped the little girl in his arms and made a beeline for the living room. He grabbed Min Ki’s hand and lead the two children up stairs to Yoo Na’s room.

Yun Hee felt rage coursing through her. Her vision was starting to fade in and out and her heart thumped hard against her chest and loudly in her ears. “What. The. FUCK!?” She screamed.

Taehyung slumped further down before desperately trying to stand up. He grabbed at the wall to steady himself, swaying as he turned to look at Yun Hee. “My pretty wife. I love you.” He grinned and slurred as he spoke.

“What!? Are you insane!? You just shoved our ‘DAUGHTER’ and you’re stupid drunk! Who the hell are you right now!?” Yun Hee stomped up, bringing her face close to his. Glaring daggers up at him, even though he couldn't really tell.

Taehyung groaned and rubbed his head. “So annoying. Me sleep. Take me to bed.”

“Take yourself to bed, we’ll talk when you're sober.” She growled back at him.

Taehyung slow crawled up the stairs; stopping every couple steps to lay his head on the stairs, whine about the spinning, then pick up and keep going. It seemed like it took years to get him to bed for Yun Hee, but it was only about twenty minutes. Jimin had stayed in the room with the children doing his best to occupy and entertain them. Yoo Na was upset and just laid in her bed, moping. No matter what Jimin or Min Ki tried, she wouldn’t stop wallowing.
