Chapter 7

Ji Yong stared at the picture on his laptop, where he found himself a little shaken by the genuine smile he was showing. Yun Hee smiling sweetly beside him and Yoo Na happily on his shoulders after her emotional confession. He initially started flirting with Yun Hee because it was fun and she made it easy. She was a flirt and seemed to not even notice she was doing it half the time. However he quickly found himself looking forward to seeing her. He enjoyed being around her and he felt irritated that her husband was treating her the way he was.

He had asked a friend to look into Kim Taehyung after the zoo trip. Everyone seemed to be under the impression he was having an affair with his co-worker Soon Kyu but no evidence had surfaced. Ji Yong had been in debate with himself on how he wanted to handle the situation. He didn't want Yun Hee to stay with her husband. He wanted her to leave Taehyung and come to him instead, he just didn't quite know how to make it happen.

Ji Yong had called the company Taehyung worked at, retrieving the man's email address. He had been sitting in front of his computer for half an hour, debating if he wanted to send Taehyung the picture. Right as his resolve was fizzling out, Yun Hee knocked at his door and came in sniffling.

"Sorry. It's been a bad day. Here's that report you wanted me to get." She handed over the small stack of papers and sat across from him.

"What happened?" He pried.

She took a few deep breaths to keep herself from full on sobbing. "Taehyung and I had another fight. He still doesn't want to come home. It seems like he doesn't care about his daughter or I anymore. I don't know what else to do."

Ji Yong smiled over at her. He swiftly clicked the 'send' button on the email he'd been staring at. "Maybe you should take a break from work for today and go see him? I have a feeling he might have something new to say today. Go on." He stood up and walked to her side. Gently placing his hand on her back, he guided her out of the office. Ji Yong assured her he wouldn't let her get in trouble for leaving early.

Let's see what he has to say about that.

Yun Hee approached the reception desk at Taehyung's office. The lady sitting there looked bored out of her mind and perked up when she saw Yun Hee. "Ah! You're here to see Mr. Kim right? I'll call and have someone get him from his meeting for you."

"Oh you don't have to-" Yun Hee was going to tell the woman she'd wait till after the meeting but the lady was too fast. She was already on the phone and speaking with someone before Yun Hee could finish speaking. She told Yun Hee to go on up and Taehyung should be meeting her in his office.

The elevator seemed to take forever to get to the bottom floor and the ride up was even more excruciatingly painful. Yun Hee kept twisting her fingers together as she watched each number tick by on top of the door. When the doors finally opened and the small bell rang out, she felt her resolve waver. She took slow cautious steps to his office, noting that the door was cracked open. She knocked before slowly pushing the door open.

In front of her was Taehyung and Soon Kyu. They were arguing and Soon Kyu appeared to be distressed. Taehyung didn't bother to turn his attention to his wife, he was glaring daggers at Soon Kyu who looked like she was about to start crying any second.

"But I'm pregnant with your child, Taehyung. Don't you want to be there for us?" Soon Kyu cried. She reached out to grab Taehyung's hand and finally turned to give Yun Hee a nasty look. "That's right. We're starting a family together. He doesn't need you or your daughter."

Taehyungs mouth fell open at that. He slowly turned to face his wife. Mouth unable to form words as he stared at her in horror. His face drained of color and he mumbled out random babbling sounds that made no sense.

Yun Hee felt like she had taken a bat the stomach. Everything seemed to fade in and out of consciousness for her, blending together like a blur. He's been sleeping with her? They are having a baby? He doesn't even want Yoo Na?

"I-it's not... I didn't... I'm not." Taehyung couldn't find the words and he quickly ran to Yun Hee. He stared at her glazed over eyes and battled with himself on what to say. When he was finally able to speak a coherent sentence, it wasn't what he wanted to say. "Why did you have to lie and make me do this!?"

He slapped his hand over his mouth and his eyes shot open. Soon Kyu snickered from across the room.

Yun Hee processed his words quickly. A mix of anger and sadness boiling up inside of her. She glanced up at Taehyung, seething as she spoke. "I hope you'll be happy together. Don't worry about us. We'll get out of your way." With that she turned on heel and quickly walked to the elevator. I'm so fucking done.

Su Jin arrived at Yun Hee's desk, frowning when she saw her friend wasn't where she was supposed to be. She noticed her workspace seemed to be a bigger mess than usual, but shrugged it off. As she was about to leave to search for her friend near a vending machine, she heard some of the girls whispering about how Yun Hee left, came back and went into Ji Yong's office over ten minutes ago.

I swear to god Yun Hee if I walk in there and see someone naked I'm going to lose it. She stormed over to Ji Yong's office, not even knocking as she threw the door open and slammed it shut behind her. Yun Hee was sitting on Ji Yong's desk, legs wrapped around his hips. Yun Hee exclaimed loudly as Su Jin slammed the door, masking the sound. Ji Yong had one hand wrapped around her back, and another caressing her leg teasingly. He flickered a glance towards the movement as Su Jin came in, who was now frozen.

A smirk cracked the left side of his face as his eyes scrunched a little at Yun Hee. Knowing Su Jin was watching, he slowly leaned down to kiss Yun Hee. Wake the hell up Su Jin! Get your shit together and stop this!! Su Jin leaned forward slightly and pushed off the door as hard as she could against the weight of shock holding her down.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" Su Jin Shrieked!

Ji Yong growled as Yun Hee detached herself from him. She hopped off his desk and went to her friend, pulling her into a hug.

"I'm sorry." She let go and stared at Su Jin a moment. "I need you to leave. You'll find everything out later. Go make things right with Hobi and go be happy, okay?"

"What are-" before Su Jin could finish Yun Hee had already shoved her out the door and locked it.

I can't make a scene at work. Great. What nonsense was that crazy girl babbling? Not being able to go back into Ji Yong's office, Su Jin returned to her own workspace. She took out her frustrations on work. Getting everything done for the day before it was time to head home.

When the clock finally ticked 4, she packed up her things and stood to leave. Before she was able to leave her office though, Seung Hyun was in and shutting the door behind him. He seemed to be lerious of even being around her, but still moved forward.

"Look, I'm not trying to cause you problems Su Jin. It's just... I've really come to like you and-"

Su Jin held up her hand, silencing the man before her. Anger spurred within her and she just couldn't bother to be polite anymore. "I don't want to be with you, Seung Hyun. I may have crossed a line in flirting with you but i'm in love with my husband. Always have been and always will be. You have no idea how upset I am that he thought I was cheating with you. I know I'm not innocent in all this but i'm going to be the one stopping it right now. You can expect a resignation letter soon. I'm done." She gathered her bag and stormed past her boss. Seung Hyun was left standing there with his jaw hung open, irritation clear on his face.

She hurried over to Ji Yong's office, only to be told he left for the day. When she asked if Yun Hee went with him, the girl she was questioning just nodded and went back to finishing her report for the day.

What are you doing, Yun Hee?

[A/N: Sorry for the hiatus! I had a dispute with my editor and lost my inspo for the story for awhile. However, my sister just reminded me of it today and I remembered I had a short chapter ready to go! Hopefully getting back to work on this. I forgot how much I screwed everyone's lives up! :'D haha YAY DRAMA!! Anyway, Shorter chapter than most but it's pretty busy. Hopefully it's not awful. Thanks for reading!
