"Hoseok, we have to tell him." Su Jin pleaded with her husband who was looking like someone had just kicked his puppy. They were alone, both of the kids out with their friends while they sat at their table. Hoseok had gotten a call from Jungkook, saying he met Hyun Ki's friend Yoo Na and asking if it was Taehyung's daughter. When Hoseok told him it was, the younger man freaked out. He kept asking if that meant Yun Hee was back in town and if anyone else knew yet.
Hoseok swore him to secrecy. The situation was delicate and needed to be handled with care. "I know, but I don't want him to hurt himself again if she really did end up with that Ji Yong guy. It would crush him. He's still not the most stable person around."
She reached for her husband's hand, gripping it tight in reassurance. Hoseok had been so worried for Taehyung and they had both been working to help take care of him. It took a long time to get him back on his feet and living a normal life again after his incident. Yet he was still holding out hope that Yun Hee and Yoo Na would come back into his life one day and he'd make it all better. It was the only hope he had. It was the only hope that Hoseok and Su Jin played along with to try and help him heal.
"I know, i'm worried too. But he needs to hear it from us. Can you imagine the damage if he randomly saw one of them? He needs to be prepared."
Hoseok huffed, reaching up to run a hand through his hair. His usual warm smile was gone, replaced with a look of stress and exhaustion. "You're right. I'm just not ready to do it right now. Can we wait a couple days and have him over?"
Su Jin let out a sigh of relief and nodded back at him. She was worried he would try and put it off even longer. Hoseok didn't like confrontation and he had more than his fair share of Taehyung wrangling in the past. "I'll make dinner and we can tell him after he eats. Sound good?"
Hoseok cracked a small smile and looked up at his wife. He snorted in short laughter as he spoke. "Hopefully he doesn't puke everywhere after we tell him."

Taehyung made his way down the familiar street the lead to his best friends house. Hoseok had asked him over for dinner, saying Su Jin was going to make to be making one of his favorite meals. It all seemed suspicious but Taehyung knew they'd just worry about him if he didn't show up. He didn't live far from Hoseok and Su Jin, but he kept to himself a lot more than he used to. His relationships with his friends were all weird. People always treated him like he was about to jump off the roof if they mentioned Yun Hee or if they said anything that might upset him. It was exhausting and he didn't like having to deal with it.
He tried to kill himself years ago, yes. It was a low point in his life and he was glad he was alive now but that didn't mean he was going to try and off himself over the smallest of things. It was tiring to constantly be treated like a mental patient. He stopped in at the cafe Su Jin and Hyo Rin were always at, hoping to get a little cake or something to take as thanks for having him over.
Taehyung made his way to the counter and eyed all the cakes they had. He pointed towards one of the small chocolate mousse cakes and waited patiently as the cashier put it in a box. The door jingled as someone walked in behind him. A young girl was talking on the phone, giggling about how she would be there to see whoever was on the other line soon.
"I'm just picking up something for my mom and I'll be there. No, Jimin told me she likes this place. I guess they have her favorite strawberry cake."
Taehyungs ears perked up at that. Yun Hee loves the strawberry cake here. I used to drive out of my way to come get her the cake here anytime she was upset. He saw the strawberry cakes and smiled to himself. I miss her a lot.
