Eighteen

Tyler knocked on the door nervously. Sure, he's seen Josh's parents a couple of times, but they've never really officially met. And now he's meeting them as Josh's boyfriend. Tyler smiled when the door opened. Josh grinned back at him, "hey, Ty." He kissed Tyler lightly before letting him in. Tyler slipped off his shoes as josh shut the door behind them. Laura and bill walked into hallway where they were smiling.

Laura held out her hand, "Tyler, its nice to officially meet you."

Tyler shook her hand, "nice to meet you too Mrs. Dun."

Bill shook his hand next. Laura gasped, "oh, I do recognize you now! You were the quiet one of the group."

Tyler blushed, "y-ya."

Josh rolled his eyes, "ok, come on. I'm hungry." Bill chuckled and the four walked into the dining room. Josh glanced at Tyler, "I hope you don't mind, but my siblings are here. I tried telling them to scram or something, but they wouldn't."

Tyler shook his head, "it's fine."

Josh grinned, "ok."

Tyler followed josh and his parents into the dining room where there were three other children. One of them looked up at Tyler and tilted her head. Tyler smiled at her and she smiled back. They all took their seats and Laura spoke up, "so, Tyler, tell us about yourself."

Tyler glanced at josh, who smiled at him, "uh, I play basketball...a-and I do a lot of poetry."

The same girl put of the two grinned, "do you like barbies?"

Laura chuckled, "sorry, this is Abigail. That'd Ashley and over there is Jordan."

Tyler waved at all of hem before turning back to Abigail. "I think barbies are pretty cool."

Abigail giggled, "I love barbies. Sometimes Joshua with play will play with me, cause Ashley thinks she's too cool."

Ashley rolled her eyes, "I did not say that."

Abigail stuck out her tongue, "you think it."

Laura quickly interrupted the two girls, "no fighting at the dinner table, especially with guest."

Abigail turned back to Tyler, "are you dating my brother?"

Tyler chuckled, "yes, is that ok with you?"

Abigail hummed in thought, "ya, I guess. Your better than Debby. She was a meanie. Maybe you can play with me and Joshua when we play with barbies."

Tyler grinned at josh, "that would be amazing."

Josh snorted, "Abbie, you're crazy."

Jordan spoke up, "wait, you're Tyler Joseph, right?"

Tyler nodded and Jordan nodded, "oh, your dad coaches basketball for high school." Tyler nodded again. Jordan grinned, "I wanna play basketball."

Abigail gasped and stood up in her chair, "I wanna play football like Joshua!"

Josh let out a laugh, "bub, I don't play football anymore."

Abigail frowned, "oh ya."

Tyler smiled, "it's ok, we can still teach you how to play."

Abigail perked up at this, "really?!"

Josh shrugged, "sure, why not."

Ashley tilted her head, "I thought you were dating that Jenna girl?" Tyler glanced at josh nervously.

Josh shook his head, "no, they broke up."

Ashley nodded, "oh. I didn't know that."

Laura smiled, "how's the food? I wanted to try something new tonight."

Tyler took another but before speaking, "it's delicious, thank you." The rest of the dinner went well. Tyler got along well with Josh's siblings and and his parents seemed rather fine with their relationship. Tyler walked into the kitchen, where Laura was doing the dishes. "Uh, do you need any help with those?"

Laura smiled at Tyler, "oh no, it's fine. But thank you."

She then chuckled, "usually I have to force josh to help me with the dishes. Do you usually have chores at your house?"

Tyler snorted as he approached Laura, helping her anyway, "ya. My house is very strict."

Laura raised an eyebrow, "how do you mean?"

Tyler shrugged as he began washing a plate, "lots of chores. We have limited tv time. We can only listen to certain kind of music, that kind of stuff."

Laura nodded, "ah, I see. And josh told me, but nobody knows about you guys yet?"

Tyler blushed, "well, my brother, Zack and our friend, Brendon knows, but that's all."

Laura's eyebrows furrowed, "josh said something about them being very religious?"

Tyler grinned, "very. They eat, sleep, and drink the Bible. They usually don't like josh coming over because he's bisexual."

Laura hummed, "I see, well, we won't tell anyone until you're ready."

Tyler smiled, "thank you, that means a lot."

Tyler sat in the living room with josh. they were watching a movie together and Tyler was snuggled against his side. "I think tonight went well," josh muttered.

Tyler closed his eyes, humming in agreement, "I like your family."

Josh chuckled, "me too. Abigail seems to find a liking towards you."

Tyler let out a tired laugh, "here I thought you were Mr. Tough guy when you're actually playing barbies with your sister."

Josh rolled his eyes with a blush, "shush."

Tyler lifted his head from Josh's shoulder and rested his chin on it instead. He smiled up at josh, "don't worry, I think it's cute." Josh stuck his tongue out at Tyler before kissing him. Tyler kissed back, grabbing Josh's hand. They both heard a giggle and turned to see Abigail. Josh rolled his eyes, "Abbie, what are you doing up? It's passed your bed time."

Abigail began skipping around he room, "Tyler and Joshua sitting in a tree! K-i-s-s-i-n-g!" Josh let out a groan and Tyler giggled. Abigail skipped to the couch once she was done with her song. "Can I watch the movie with you guys?"

"No."

"Sure."

Tyler and josh spoke at the same time. Tyler glared playfully at josh, "oh come on, josh."

Josh sighed, "fine."

Abigail cheered as she crawled onto Josh's lap. She turned to Tyler, "can I call you Tyjo?"

Tyler chuckled, "Tyjo is a wicked name."

Abigail giggled, "yay!"

Josh pouted, "Tyler, she's stealing you from me."

Tyler cooed, "poor Joshie is jealous." Tyler leaned over and pecked Josh's lips before turning to face the movie again.

Abigail whispered into Josh's ear, "he's a keeper."

Ok but like......I'm so ready for riverdale and stranger things. I live for those shows and I just want to see season two for both of them already. The cliff hangers were too much and I need to know!!

I have been just listening to Lana del Rey for the past few days and nothing else. I just can't ever get over her music. AND SHES SO PRETTY LIKE WHAT???
