Tyler looked around his room as he sat criss-cross on his bed. It looked exactly the same way from when he left. Not counting the clothes and few items he had at Brendon's. He kept on randomly smiling at nothing, except the fact he was back home.
He had his fathers love and acceptance and he finally felt completely comfortable in who he was. Knowing hat his father was ok with who he was made such a drastic change for some reason. There was a knock on Tyler's door and he answered with a quiet 'come in'.
Kelly poked her head in and smiled, "hey, darling. Dinner is ready."
Tyler nodded, "o-ok.
Tyler stood up and followed his mother down the hallway. Once they reached the stairs, Kelly pulled him into a tight embrace. "I missed you," she breathed out."
Tyler wrapped his arms around the small women, "I missed you too."
The two walked downstairs and Tyler smile when he spotted josh sitting at the dining table with everyone else. While Tyler had been sitting up in his room savoring the old familiar feeling, josh had been talking to his family, getting to know them more and proving how great of a guy he was.
Tyler sat next to him, instantly clutching his hand under the table. Kelly began digging into her food, as everyone else was doing so. "Tyler, josh told us that you had gotten an internship. How do you like it?"
Tyler smiled brightly, "I love it. It's so fascinating getting to witness such a high growing business and how it works."
Kelly smiled, "and josh, you said you got accepted into a college only a few hours away from here, right?"
Josh nodded, "yes, ma'am. I wanted to be able to stay close to home."
Josh glanced at Tyler, catching Tyler blush. Because the two both knew josh thought of Tyler as his home. Chris cleared his throat, "I, uh, I would just like to say....josh....i-i was wrong. In these passed few hours I have gotten to know you...it's safe to say that-that your the right person for my son. And I would like to apologies, for everything."
Josh smiled, squeezing Tyler's hand under the table, "thank you, Mr. Jospeh, and I forgive you."
Chris smiled and Tyler smiled up at josh. Madison tilted her head, "mama, but I thought you said gay was bad."
Kelly cleared he throat, "yes, I did say that...but I'm not always right, honey. Sometimes things that may seem bad may turn or to be beautiful."
Madison nodded, "oh."
Tyler couldn't wipe the smile off his face. This is all he wanted. He suddenly didn't care about what everyone at school thought. E didn't care if they threw eggs at him or if Dallon called him a gag hot. He didn't care for al the dirty looks and all the pathetic insults he received.
His family was the only acceptance he needed; and now they he had it, he felt like he was on top of the world. In the moment, he had everyone he loved at the same table and not a drop of tension was there.
He looked up to josh, who was already looking at him. And with his eyes, Tyler told josh he love him, and josh gave him the same look back. Tyler was finally whole again.
