Sixteen

Tyler waved as Jenna left. She had to go home early, but Tyler didn't mind all too much. He made his way back to the stairs, but was stopped by his dad. "Is josh still here?" Chris seemed uncomfortable with the fact josh was here, but it only made Tyler want to rebel more against him.

Tyler smiled, "yep, why? Does it bother you?"

Chris sighed, "just keep the door open....I don't want him trying anything in you."

Tyler scoffed, "whatever."

Tyler walked up the stairs, his heartbeat racing. His head was playing his conversation with Brendon on replay. He walked into the room and shut the door behind him. Josh smiled, "hey."

Tyler smile back nervously, "hi."

Josh took notice of Tyler's sudden nervousness, "are you alright?"

Without saying anything, Tyler quickly approached josh, placing his lips softly against Josh's without warning. Out of shock, josh pushed Tyler away. He stared at Tyler with wide eyes and Tyler was about to apologize. Before he could, josh was tugging Tyler back towards him, crashing their lips together. Tyler sat himself in Josh's lap, running his fingers through Josh's red hair.

Josh slightly pulled away, their lips barely touching. "I thought you didn't like me this way."

"That's not what I said," Tyler breathed out before pressing his lips against Josh's again. The kiss was urgent and needy, Tyler's nails scraping at Josh's scalp. Tyler was almost too lost to hear the footsteps coming up the stairs. But luckily josh did, nearly pushing Tyler off of him. Tyler wiped his mouth while josh fixed his hair. Tyler sat back down just as the door opened.

Kelly smiled awkwardly at josh, "uh, we were just setting up dinner. I was wondering if you wanted to stay?"

Josh and Tyler both noticed the uncomfortable look on Kelly's face and her eyes were telling them she didn't want josh staying. Josh shook his head, "no, it's fine. Thank you, though."

Tyler scoffed as Kelly suddenly seemed more relaxed, "oh, alright. Well..maybe another time, then." 

Tyler had to resist an eye roll and josh forced a smile, "ya." He turned back to face Tyler and waved lightly, "bye, Tyler. See you at school."

Tyler nodded, hoping his mother didn't notice his blush. Kelly moved out of the way so josh could leave. Once josh was down the stairs and out of the house, Tyler scowled and crossed his arms. "Wow."

Kelly frowned, "what?"

Tyler stood up, "you really think we couldn't tell how happy you were when he said no? You're unbelievable."

Kelly let out a huff and followed her son downstairs, "Tyler, it's not my fault that I'm not comfortable with a homosexual in my house."

Tyler let out a bitter laugh, "it is your fault. You chose to be uncomfortable. And he's not homosexual, he's bisexual."

Kelly raised an eyebrow, "is there really a difference. It's both a sin."

Tyler let out a real laugh this time, he couldn't help himself. "Ok, mom. Whatever."

Tyler quickly approached josh in the halls. He glanced around nervously, "uh, josh? Can I talk to you...somewhere private?"

Josh nodded, his eyebrows furrowing, "sure."

Josh followed Tyler down the hall and into the boys bathroom. Tyler bit his lip, "um, about yesterday."

Josh scratched the back of his neck, "ya, uh...if you don't-"

Tyler quickly stopped him, "no no, it's just..."

Tyler let out a shaky breath before stepping closer to josh. He pressed his lips against Josh's and grabbed onto Josh's shirt. Josh placed his hands on he side of Tyler's arms, squeezing them lightly as he kissed back. Tyler pulled away, too soon for Josh's liking. "I'm just...I'm still not ready to come out, by I really like you. Maybe we could date, but in private." Josh raised an eyebrow.

"Just till I'm ready," Tyler quickly added.

Josh ran a hand through his hair, "I- what about Jenna?"

Tyler gulped. He didn't think about that... "uh...I don't know. S-she might find out if I break up with her."

Josh bit his lip, "she could be a cover up...maybe?"

Tyler smiled at that, "y-ya. A cover up."

He then frowned, groaning as he ran a hand down his face, "I don't want to hurt her though."

Josh grabbed Tyler's hand, "you do what you want, Ty."

Tyler nodded, "ok, ya. A cover up."

Josh grinned, tilting Tyler's chin up and pulling Tyler into another kiss. Tyler smiled against the kiss, frowning lightly when josh pulled away. Josh chuckled, "wanna hang out after school?"

Tyler nodded, "ya, I would love to."

Guys, it was the first week of school and I already got sick. Lolllll. I missed the first Friday night lights and I was pissed. I loooove going to high school football games. Like WHY. Anyway....joshler is finally here!! I repeat. Joshler is finally here!! You're welcome.
