Earth the beginning of the fall

Chapter 11

  Kelly finally got Calvin off of her, she rolled him onto his side, reaching into his jeans pocket she pulled out his cell phone, hearing both her aunt and Calvin's dad's voice. Bring the phone to her ear she spoke "Auntie Jane." "Oh for gosh sakes Kelly what the hell is going on, where are you guys?" Jane asked "were at... I'm not sure where we are, but I think its an office I'll look around and see."

"Okay, but are you and Calvin alright?" Jane asked "yeah I'm ok, but Calvin is..." a moan from Calvin, signaled he was beginning to regain consciousness, reaching over towards him Kelly shook his shoulder hoping to bring him around faster.

With a Groan he rolled onto his back, eyes fluttering open, has they adjust to the dark he looked around in confusion suddenly Kelly was in his face looking down at him "no, we got in, but then some crazy girl attacked us from out of nowhere" crazy girl attack... what the hell was Kelly talking about, and who was she talking to, and why the hell did his head hurt so damning much. He thought

"Kelly what's going on?...why does my head hurt so much?.." Calvin's words ended on a pained moan. "Hey try not to move too much you were hit on the back of your head." Struggling to get up he tried to get himself into a sitting position, Kelly's arm rapped around his shoulder giving him the much needed support to sit upright.

Taking a deep breath he tried to clear the fog of dizziness from his head. "What happened?" He asked "what do you remember?" Kelly asked "mmm... you getting inside, me waiting for you to get the door open, then I heard something coming from the bushes, I thought those things had caught up to us, so I grab something I thought could be used as a weapon as soon as it came out and headed for me I swung at its head, well I think it was its head, but it ducked and that surprised me next thing I know I got the wind knocked out of me, then there was something cold and sharp at my throat, there was a voice too not what I was expecting, then you then pain and nothing."

  Glancing around he asked "did you get us inside, what about the person?, looking back at Kelly he finished, where are they?" Sitting back on her knees, Kelly point in the direction she last saw Sage went, turning his head to the direction he could see an open doorway leading to a passageway darker than the room they were in.

   "Hi kids talk to us, tell us are you two safe where you are, both from those things and that girl that attacked you?" The sudden sound of Kurt's voice coming from the phone had both Kelly and Calvin jumping in surprise.

"Hi dad." Reaching forward he took the phone from Kelly, "we're all good here" "you sure son what about..." "no everything's fine." "Ok if you say so, where are you two then?" "We're over by Jonathan's office, that's the only place I could have thought of that was close enough for us to run to."

"That means your in the morgue, ok hold tight we'll come get you guys, by the way any chance on Jonathan still being there?" "Nope I don't think so it was all locked up when we got here," "ok, we'll be there soon, keep your phone close" the small click signal the end of the call, "how long do you think it will take them?" Kelly asked, pushing his phone back into his pocket Calvin answered "15 maybe 30 minutes, give me a hand I want to get up."

Swaying slightly has he stood up Calvin lean on Kelly for support, steadying himself he head for the open door, grabbing onto his arm Kelly brought him to a stop. "Where you going?" She asked "to meet or new friend of course" "what are you insane, that girl is dangerous, she attacked us are you for getting that." "Well that depends on how you look at it." At those words Kelly shot him and incredulous look "sigh, look Kelly if she is as dangerous as you say, shouldn't we make sure we know where she is."

Several emotions flashed across Kelly's face, Calvin could tell he was about to lose the argument before Kelly could come up with the reason why they should not go, he decided to take advantage of one of her weaknesses, "look Kelly it's ok just stay here lock the door behind me you'll be safe."

He saw the anger in her eyes as soon as those words left his lips, she had a real quick temper and he knew just the words to get a rise out of her, he kind of felt guilty about it but not enough to let her know he was just manipulating her. Red heads really were hot heads.

"What the hell is that suppose to mean! You think I should hide behind you or something, you think I'm too much of a coward to follow you, that I'm some girly girl you have to protect, well let me tell you something the last time I checked I'm not the one who got my ass kicked by another girl, I'm not the one who got knocked out flat on my belly flopping like a dead fish, so screw you, if anyone should be locking doors for safety it should be you!"

With a finger poke to his chest she released his arm leave him to make his own way down the passageway, all Calvin could think about was should I tell her dead fishes don't flop.
