Shots rang out at a cluster of spiders rushing towards the station, the first groups to have gotten a car quickly sped out the parking lot, tires squealing leaving behind their skid marks on the asphalt. A spider jumping from the rooftop of the station landed on top of a woman halfway in a pickup truck.

Her screams were like someone being butchered by a axe murderer, several shots fired from inside the truck. The spider screeches but still hold tightly with its front legs, sinking one deep into the back of the woman's leg while ramming the other into the side of the truck door for support, stopping the woman from getting into the truck and anchoring its self to the vehicle.

The driver for the truck panicked stepping on the gas pedal has more and more spiders jump from the stations rooftop attacking the last of those not yet in a vehicle, Kurt watches in horror as the truck speed foreword with the spider still attach to both the truck and the woman's leg. The driver slammed the spider against the side of a parked car probably hoping to knock it off, but the spider didn't just get knocked off, it took the door it's leg was stuck into along with the woman's leg, the sound off metal tearing was painful to the ears but the sound of the woman's high pitch screams before they abruptly cut off, was down right hunting and Kurt was sure to remember the sound for as long as he lived.

"Get back inside" Kurt said turning around and only seeing Mitch all the others had already fled all that was left were those trying to escaping or those who hadn't made it. Both men quickly run back into the station "Chief how we going to get out?" "I told Jane to get another SUV while we were getting everyone else out of here, they should be waiting quietly for us." "Wait did you know that was going to happen did we lead those people to their deaths just so we could escape?" "What! of course not did you not see what happened out there those idiots slammed the car doors, plus those things were on top of the station what do you think they were doing up there, it's obvious they were trying to find away inside."

"I'm sorry for accusing you like that Chief" Mitch said breathing heavily has they both run "I understand how you feel just know that they would have all died in here if the spiders had made their way in, as it stands most of them are now alive because they got out when they could" Kurt said as they both rounded the corner and saw Sally, Henry and the three teens almost all looked nervous if not a bit scared as well, except for Sage Foster's niece, she looked like she didn't have a care in the world, Kurt made a mental note to keep a eye on the kid, he'd always had a sixth sense for danger and it was telling him this kid is dangerous.

"Ok, everyone ready?" Kurt asked they all nodded at him "I'm point Mitch you got the rear" cracking the door open Kurt slowly pushes it open, the strong winds on this side of the building made it difficult with the opening, bracing his shoulder against the door he lift his shotgun with both hands, sweeping the outside left to right before motioning with his head for the others to pass him.

Mathew and Jane were both waiting behind the wheels of police vehicles Kurt was glad to see them both ok, the vehicles were off and sitting quietly, Henry and Sally headed for the car Mathew sat in and Sage followed. Kurt got into the SUV with Calvin and Kelly and Mitch closing the door behind them. Both vehicles started at the same time, the loud engine of the dodge rumbling through the night, has Mathew sped off following the SUV.

Kurt looked back in the mirror as the station faded from view and the last echoing shots, praying in his heart for those who were still alive
