I had been home for a few days, I was getting back to school finally, going to school with Leonard was going to be a bit weird, but at least he would have a friend now, I remember tidbits of what he told me while I was in that coma, one of which being that he wasn't having the best time finding friends.

When I walked down the stairs Leonard was waiting by the door for me, "Your dad said I had to walk with you to make sure no one snatched you up, so hurry up or we will both be late." he had a plain expression on his face as he held out my lunch bag.

Leonard still had that plain look on his face as we were walking in silence, "Thanks for packing my lunch Len." he just nodded, "Why so quiet?" I looked him in the eyes, he was actually my height, something I wasn't used to, kinda made me wonder what else had drastically changed since I was unconscious, "I like the silence, lets me think." he said openly, "Tonight I have to work but I'll walk home with you first, then go to work, my boss will understand." he sounded very protective, just the tone he said that in, reminded me of how Lewis acted about Lisa and Leonard after their mom left.

We arrived just before the bell rang, the first part of the day went by smoothly, no classes with Leonard, since he was a few grades ahead of me I understood why, but lunch came, I seen my old group of friends but before I sat down I seen Leonard sitting at the far end of the room alone at a table, minus a couple sitting at the end of the table.

I stopped by the table my friends sat at and told them I was back, they all told me to sit down and they could fill me in on everything that happened since I was gone, I nodded and headed toward the table Leonard was sitting at, "Why aren't you sitting with your friends?" he asked before I could even sit down, "Because you looked lonely." I seen a small smirk cross his face although he was looking down.

Leonard was walking me home that night, from the look on his face I knew he didn't have a care in the world at that point in time, his mind was blank so I figured I would talk to him about a boy I met, "Len?" he acknowledged me with a type of hum, "I met this really cute boy today." he froze in his steps as I said that, we just stood on the sidewalk in the same place for what seemed like forever in a weird silence.
