Years passed, Sara moved to Central City, and she became a successful teacher like her dad, I got a job at Mercury Labs, we were still just as close as we'd ever been, even going as far as taking our lunch breaks at the same time just to hang out for an hour.

"Leonard?" She asked as she stirred her tea, "Yes?" "I don't know if I should or not, but this guy asked me out today." She didn't look up from her cup, I'm sure if she would've that she would've seen my face turn white, I cleared my throat before I spoke, "Last time you said something along these lines to me, I eventually got my head busted open and you got suspended." She just laughed.

We were quiet for a while before I spoke again, "As long as he's good to you-" I started but got cut off by Sara "I know, but I want your opinion, not something like you usually say." She then explained to me everything about the guy who asked her out.

She finished talking about him, "Sara, you don't even like him." She looked up quickly as I told her that, "How- what do you mean?" She stumbled over her words, "You didn't have that spark in your eyes, you weren't trying to sell him, you didn't mention anything that would be unnoticeable to anyone else, it was all stuff you could know just by meeting him." I just smiled at her when she started to smirk, "Thank you Leonard, now I have to go back to work," she said as she stood up, "I'll call you tonight on my way home." I just nodded.

The next thing I knew, she kissed me on the cheek, I turned to look at her, only to see her hair quickly cover her reddening cheeks as she headed for the door, "She kissed me." I mumbled to myself before I started to feel my cheeks warm up, "That girl kills me." I laughed as I headed outside, walking back to Mercury Labs.

It was getting late, almost time to get off of work, I knew it had to be snowing outside already, I started to put everything away when my phone started to buzz, "Who could that be?" I said, searching for my phone.

The screen of my phone lit up with Sara's name and picture, "Oh god," I started before I answered, "Sara, what's wrong?" I was frantic, I heard a thump then I heard Sara "No, don't touch me you freak!" She was screaming on the other line, "Sara!" The next thing I heard was the sound of glass shattering and tires squealing.
