Throughout the day after Quentin "caught" Sara sneaking out, I was hearing how Mick ditched his friends when he heard the first sirens, boy was I ever glad Sara didn't get to go with them, I just wish he would've gotten caught with the rest of his no good for nothing friends and sent away with them too, but I had to respect him, for Sara, didn't mean I had to like him though.

A few days passed, Sara had been hanging out with Mick a lot that weekend, Quentin knew he wasn't good news, but Sara liked him, so like me he had to bite his tongue most of the time, after she would go to bed we usually sat up late after she went to bed talking about everything.

Usually he would share his concerns about Sara with me, since she was that age where she wouldn't talk to adults about anything, I was something like a messenger, without her knowing, I would share most everything that we would talk about on our walks home, Quentin was grateful knowing she had someone to share things with, granted we wouldn't talk as much as we did before the accident, we still talked.

Mick still bullied me, just not around Sara, he had her fooled, she thought he was a white knight, I'm sure he wanted her to keep thinking that, but walking toward the table I sat at during lunch, Sara didn't sit with me anymore, she sat with Mick and his friends, well what was left of them after most of them got arrested anyway.

Mick and Sara were walking my way, I figured he would just walk pass me since Sara was on his arm, but he didn't, he shoved me, Sara pulled her arm out of his, then he tripped me, making me fall backwards and smack my head off the wall, I looked up to him, he showed no emotion.

Sara's expression changed immediately, I seen the anger flash in her eyes as she looked from me to Mick, before I knew what happened Mick was holding his nose with one hand, blood was seeping through his fingers and he was bent over clutching his stomach with the other hand, "Never touch him again you piece of shit." Sara dropped to her knees beside me, "Len, you're bleeding." I reached back and touched the part of my head that hit the wall, sure enough I was bleeding.

A few of Mick's friends stepped away from the table they were sitting at, one ran up and tried to kick me while I was still laying on the ground, I was ready to feel the pain of a steel toed boot in my side like the first day that Mick jumped me.

To my surprise Sara had quickly stood up and grabbed his leg, twisting it until I heard several cracks and pops, and seen him fall to the floor clutching his knee in pain, a second guy came up and tried to punch Sara but she caught his fist and kicked him in between the legs making him fall to the floor, before she came back over to sit beside me she said four words I loved hearing, "Mick, We are over!" I smiled even though I was dripping blood and had one hell of a head ache.
