Chapter 4: Pretending

*Harry's POV*

"Get up!" I yelled too Zayn even though I knew it was kind of pointless, he was one of the heaviest sleepers ever. Maddie on the other hand was the lightest sleeper you ever met so her eyes immdedietly fluttered open at my voice. When she saw me she didn't seem worried she seemed perfectly calm, which kind of worried me. I mean if Maddie found me shirtless with a girl it would be pretty nerve-wrecking.

"Get up!" I yelled again and this time Zayn stirred and opened his eyes, he seemed irritated and tired. He looked at me,

"Harry, what are you doing mate?" He asked me and I stared at him, I was so close to twitching.

"Why are you in bed with my girlfriend?" I asked trying to keep calm, Zayn furrowed his eyebrows and started laughing,

"Did you think we did something? Harry, come on mate." He said laughing and I looked over at Maddie who was still on the bed, emotionless. I swallowed, she must've seen the messages I mean of course she did.

"It isn't funny, Zayn!" I yelled and Zayn rolled his eyes and stepped out of the bed, he was only wearing boxers! I wanted to spit in his eye, who did he think he was.

"Harry, look at me man calm down. Nothing happened, I promise." He said this genuinely, I looked at Maddie who was climbing out of the bed too. She smiled at me and I looked down at her,

"Are you okay?" I asked and she grabbed my hand and gave me a glassy eyed stare and then kissed me on the lips,

"Of course I'm fine, Zayn was just talking to me about something and we fell asleep." She said quickly, then walked away from me. I looked at Zayn who shrugged and collapsed onto his bed, falling asleep.

When I got to the room Maddie was in the kitchen, scouring through it while whistling a tune. Hadn't she seen the messages. I walked towards her and put my arms around her waist making her jump. When she realized it was me she giggled and I pushed her up against the refrigerator and pressed our foreheads together, I swallowed I was so in love with her but I was also in love with sex. Maddie wanted to stay a virgin for a long time,

"Are you mad at me?" I asked her and she cocked her head innocently,

"Why would I be mad?" She asked me and I shrugged then swallowed,

"I was just wondering." She laughed, making her beautiful face light up but I noticed something about the laugh. It was fake like she was trying hard to keep cool, was she okay? She kissed me on the cheek and shook her head at me,

"Why are you so worried, Curly?" She asked me then walked around me and went to the room. When I got in there she was already asleep, why were girls so confusing?

The next morning my phone chimed, of course. First, we were going to have breakfast with Louis and his family, then we were going to a radio interview then we had a concert and a signing. Tomorrow was a television interview, another concert then we were out of Doncaster. I groaned and turned to see Maddie on the bed looking at me, I jumped.

"Good morning!" She said in a cheery voice, way to cheery. My phone chimed again and I realized this one was a text message. I picked it up and opened it then read the text,

Hey babes, awesome nite last nite! When can we do it again? I know you're going to be out of Doncaster soon, we need to meet up- Nat

I swallowed and looked up at Maddie, who was already out of the bed and looking through her suitcase for close.

"Harry, I don't think I can do breakfast today. I want to spend some time alone in this beautiful city today, but we can do the radio interview together." She said and I raised my eyebrows at her,

"You sure, babe." She turned to me and grinned, then she nodded. She went to the bathroom and I head the water get on, I was in the clear! She didn't know anything, and no matter how guilty I was, I was not prepared to tell my girlfriend I had been cheating on her.

*Maddie's POV*

It was so hard! To make believe that I wasn't angry, to smile and let him call me baby but it was all for good cause. I was going to let that Natalie chick know who I was and who she was. She was the girl that he called when he needed a one night stand, I was the number one girl. I was like the queen, I know it sounds kind of conceited but that was how it is.

When I got out of the shower I wore my best fitting black skinny jeans, my "Call me Mrs. Styles" t-shirt and sun-glasses. Harry was already in the kitchen when I put my clothes on, just looking at him made me want to cry. I really didn't understand why he wanted to hurt me, why he wanted to be with her but it was all okay.

I stepped out of the room and went to the living room, when Harry saw me he smiled. I smiled back, the best smile I could muster but all I wanted to do was strangle him. Louis walked out of his room, shirtless with boxers.

"Hi my beautiful people!" He yelled loudly, Harry and I covered our ears and I grinned at Louis. I was trying to let Harry know, of course I was not mad at you, of course I didn't see any emails I mean I'm a great girlfriend but it was all worth it. Natalie wouldn't know what hit her, don't worry I wasn't going to hit her.

"Hey Louis, I can't go to breakfas with you and your family today hun. I'm really sorry." I said, he pouted but sighed and shrugged,

"It's okay, Maddie." He muttered and I smiled. I drifted to Harry and sat down on his lap and turned to him,

"Make sure to take pictures of his beautiful sisters, those girls are like supermodels." I laughed, Louis shrugged,

"As a big brother it's hard to have pretty sisters, with all these grubby little boys trying to get to them." He laughed and I chuckled,

"Don't worry Louis, they won't mess with The Tommo's little sisters." I grinned, using his nickname. He smiled and nodded like he was a superhero,

"You know it!" I turned to Harry and he smiled at me,

"You know I love you right?" He asked me and I felt my chets tighten, I grinned the bets I could and kissed him on the lips,

"Of course, I do." I replied and turned away from him, I didn't want to look at his face. He had kissed another girl on the lips, done things that I had seen on that video that I didn't even know existed. Liam, Zayn, Niall and Kye walked in with no warning,

"Food!" Was the first thing Niall yelled and was about to run to the kitchen when Liam grabbed his shirt,

"We'll have food when we get to breakfast." Niall turned to him and gave his best pout,

"But dad!" He whined and Liam rolled his eyes. I smiled at all the guys,

"How did you sleep?" I asked them and Niall shrugged and put his arms around Kye and kissed her on the cheeks,

"Like a baby." And she giggled, gag! I turned to Liam and he smiled,

"I slept great." He said and I smiled then I turned to Zayn,

"I would've slept better with you." He flirted, I knew he was doing that to get Harry jealous. I turned to Harry who looked at me and I winked at him and he smiled.

"Louis, get dressed we're leaving." He said and Louis muttered then went to his room. I laugghed, Liam was such a father it was so cute.

When all the guys left I played around the hotel for an hour, watching TV, listening to the music, jumping on beds and just plain out being crazy but I knew the plan was a go. Natalie you better watch out because when Maddeline Lennox Bixon sets her mind to something she's going to do it.
