Trigger warning: mentions of blood and self-inflicted injuries. Gets slightly heated and weird towards the end. Not quite sure what happened or how it turned out the way it did, I'm just as shocked as you are.

Logan sat in his room glaring at his computer screen in frustration. He couldn't find a suitable reason for why he always felt so numb and he was getting sick of not feeling.

Logan leant back in his chair took off his glasses and put a hand over his eyes. They were aching from staring at the brightly lit screen for so long and he knew it would cause more problems with his eyes but he needed to know why he felt so numb.

He sighed and put his glasses on before standing up and pacing around his room. He paced for a while until his frustration got the best of him and he kicked his desk.

The only thing that achieved was pain radiating through his foot. Logan frowned as he stepped gingerly on his injured foot. The throbbing pain made him feel like he truly was alive and not just an unfeeling clone or robot doomed to only have his own mind for company due to the others not understanding him.

He closed his eyes and the briefest flicker of a smile ghosted across his lips. This was how he could stay sane. He needed reminders that he existed and could feel like the others because sometimes he started to doubt himself.

Logan opened his eyes and braced himself as he stood with his hand on the door handle. He knew it was just another day but for some reason he didn't feel as eager to share facts or knowledge. He shook his head and walked out of his room for yet another day, he could do this.

Virgil sat in the corner of the lounge watching the others as they interacted. No one had noticed his presence yet so he sighed and pulled out his phone. He scrolled through several sites and quickly got bored.

He glanced up and noticed that Patton and Roman were having a very enthusiastic discussion about something but Logan was standing off to the side with a weird look on his face and as they locked eyes Virgil felt his heartbeat quicken.

Something about Logan seemed to set of an alarm bell in his head. There was something going on and it wasn't good. Virgil shuddered and broke eye contact but he could still feel Logans intimidating gaze on him.

Virgil pretended nothing happened and hoped Logan did too but as usual things don't work like that and Logan came and sat next to him.

"Morning Virgil." Logan said quietly, keeping his eye on the other two so they didn't come and eavesdrop on their conversation.

Virgil swallowed and muttered a quick "morning." trying to shake off the bad feeling he got.

"do you remember that time I walked in on you, years back?" Logan suddenly said and Virgil was confused until he realised what Logan was talking about.

"yeah but I stopped doing that ages ago, why would you suddenly...?" Virgil started to ask when a thought hit him. "you... You've started to...?" his voice became a whisper.

Logan remained silent and Virgil chewed his lip nervously as he waited for a response.

"we need to talk somewhere a little more private, meet me in my room later after Thomas goes to sleep." Logan said and walked away, leaving Virgil sitting in the corner trying to make sense of what was happening.

That night Virgil quietly slipped into Logans room and froze at the sight of him headbutting the desk.

"I am real, I can feel." he kept chanting under his breath and Virgil realised what was going on.
