I have made some changes to the story, mainly changing some of Anna's background and traits, as well as some of the character interactions.

Enjoy!

It was an odd day for Anna Stone. Leaving her old school and being so far away from her parents has been rather emotional for her. Nevertheless, Anna was aware that Beauxbatons was not the place for her anymore and neither was her home town in Italy. Apart from Madame Maxime and her family, there was not a single person she was missing out of her old life. Although Anna doubted she would be missed by anyone, especially her parents, who have been looking for an excuse to get rid of her. Ever since Anna had arrived in London, she had been feeling moodier and more on edge than usual. It was not only that she was feeling out of place. It was her abilities that were going haywire. Her visions had gotten more hectic and her stress levels were off the charts. Her dreams would be haunted by shadows every single night. Nothing clear. Just shadows and screams. At first, Anna had assumed she was homesick or that the climate change had affected her, but she could sense something creepy in the air. Anna being a Seer, could tell that dark magic had spread through England.

That, however, did not discourage Anna from attending Hogwarts. When everything fell apart in Anna's life a year ago, she had been lucky enough to be approached by Hogwarts' headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. Anna had always perceived her Seer abilities to be more of a curse than a gift. But the headmaster had a different opinion. He had proved to Anna that he truly believed in her and her abilities, despite all the foul things Anna had done back in Beauxbatons. That meant the world to her and that is how Dumbledore convinced her to attend his school and use her gift to help him. Meeting Dumbledore, gave Anna hope that she can redeem herself and leave the past behind. That if she uses her power for the greater good, she could somewhat erase the horrible things she had done. Dumbledore saw the good in Anna and she in return showed gratitude for being assigned to be his assistant and held a lot of respect for the headmaster. Dumbledore had only one condition. None had to know she was a Seer. Not even the other teachers. It was a fair bargain and Anna did not exactly want to share she was a Seer anyway, as that would attract unwanted attention.

Anna was feeling optimistic at the prospect of the brand new life Dumbledore had offered her. Hogwarts could be her one and only chance for a new start. A chance for her to do good and grow as a person and as a wizard. Perhaps make some true friends, like the ones she had seen in her visions. And maybe even meet...him. The stranger she was seeing in her dreams and visions for almost year now, more and more frequently. Seeing the potential for a new start, with these new friends and that special someone, was the sole thing that kept Anna hopeful for her transfer to Hogwarts. And of course, Dumbledore's mentorship.
