"How far along are you?" Zayn asked, driving slowly in the middle of a blizzard.

Nash looked outside her window, looking as the snowflakes fell.

She felt pity for the poor people on the streets.

They were on the west side, Nash was from the North Side of River Dale.

"Twenty weeks. Three and a half months."

"That's why you've been wearing my shirts." Zayn thinks out loud, mind wandering in circles.

"No..they're comfy and I feel safe in them."

"Well my shirts can't protect you from your asshole of a father. When are you telling them?"

"When I start to show I guess.." Nash bites her bottom lip, trying to hold her tears.

"Have you been to any appointments?"'

"Of course..but I've been prolonging the sonogram results until you knew too."

"Who else knows?"

"Jesse and Mel-"

"Fuck!" Zayn slams his closed fists against the steering wheel angrily.

He repeats that over and over again in the middle of traffic, making the blizzard seem as scary as a storm.

"Z-Zayn!"

"No I'm screwed, Nash. Your parents are going to want to know and then you'll tell them and I'm going to get arrested."

"Zayn stress isn't good for the baby..he..she can sense negative energy." Nash says, calming him softly.

Nash takes Zayn's big hand and places it on her growing stomach.

The bump was small but it was still there.

Kind of like Zayn's affection.

"I've been thinking of names..I-I like Zamir for a boy and Daisy for a girl."

"It's your baby, your choice." He took his hand off Nash's stomach.

"It-its our baby, Zayn." Nash's eyebrows were furrowed together in anger and confusion.

"Yours. I'm not the father type..I'm more of a fun uncle."

"Don't, Zayn. You can't walk away from this. This baby is going to need you! I'm going to need you- you can't leave me."

"Don't you see what's at stake, Nash? They are going to put me in jail."

"No they won't! I'll-I'll lie..then you can stay?"

"And raise the baby from school? Nash it's best if I'm out of the picture..just think about it."

"I am, and I have. And it's not right.
This child is going to suffer immensely because of your cowardice.
But hey it's nice to know I was just a booty call for you..
you say you love me and shit but you obviously don't.
I don't know why I thought you did, you don't love me or anyone else.
Fuck, you don't even love yourself.
How could you, the man who can't love, love and support a child?
Don't call me, don't text me. I'm transferring out of your pathetic excuse for a life.
Drop me off at 77 Long Thorn Ave."

"Who's house is that?" Zayn wonders, glancing up at Nash.

She was crying.

He always made her cry.

"Jesse's. He actually cares about me and this baby."

"Then why didn't you let Jesse knock you up?"

The hostility in the air was tense, and instead of tears Nash now felt anger coursing through every vein of her body.

"You know..you could always abort it."

"I wish Jesse had impregnated me. You're not half the man he is."
