"Nash." She corrected.

"What the hell is a Nash? Is it a new drug?" Mr. D'Martinez asked from his seat on the opposite side of the massive living room.

"It's her nickname. I like it."

"Well I don't. We're her parents-we named her Nayeli and not Nash for a reason."

"And what was that reason, mom?" Gray sneered sarcastically meanwhile Nash stood there in bewilderment.

The only reason Grayson ever spoke back to their parents was to defend Nash, but what was he protecting her from now?

"Nayeli signifies elegance and class, something I want her to have. I've always loved the name Nayeli."

"Bullshit."

"Grayson! Do not speak to your mother like that!"

Suddenly the monitors connected to his fingers skyrocketed, along with his heartbeat.

"Look at what you did, john!" Mrs. D'Martinez screamed, flicking off her husband as he walked away like the coward he truly was.

"Screaming doesn't make it better.. Gray..Gray look at me. I love you, okay? Everything's going to be okay just take a deep breath." Nash willed, holding onto her brother's hands.

He followed her instructions as Mrs. D'Martinez got his inhaler.

"Are you okay baby?" Their concerned mother asked, tears in her hazel colored eyes.

"I'm sorry for talking back Mami."

"It's alright. I love you Grayson." Mrs. D'Martinez pushed Nash out of the way and opened her arms for Grayson.

"What's that sound in the background?"

"Laundry. I'm helping the maid. What's wrong? Why did you call me?"

"I miss you."

"It's been two days." Nash says confusedly, leaning back against the locked door of the laundry room.

"I know I just miss you a lot." He slurred.

"Have you been drinking again?"

Disappointment dropped from her voice, falling into Zayn's ears which later led to his sorry heart.

"I'm grieving. I'll stop tomorrow." He promised.

Tomorrow came and he lied.
