Chapter 12

3 Months later:

I was staring up at the sunny sky of May, Faith was lying at my side we were getting our pre summer tan. Mason was at football practice with Jett so it was a girly afternoon, Mason and I were still a secret my parents were in Iowa for 2 weeks and so were the rest of the adults.

Daria and Natalie were incharge, our parents left us 5 grand to spend on food and if we wanted to treat ourselves.

"No adults for 2 weeks woo hoo!" Faith said sitting up "parties, boys and more clothes!"

"Not too fast sister, tomorrow I'm supposed to meet Mason's farther" I said, I'd been dreading it all day, the thought of meeting a vampire hunter was surreal but I would be taking caution.

"You just be careful" Faith said.

"Oh I will sister. But when that's over we will have the best party ever!" I say.

For the rest of the day we planned my outfit, a peach dress, a light beige cardigan and beige flats. We had to scramble though our walk in wardrobe for 2 hours until I found something suitable but still fashionable. We decided that I shouldn't have my hair coloured as it looked too rebellious, after Jett came back so did Mason.

"Bliss we have to talk!" Mason shouted when Faith and I were upstairs, I ran downstairs and hugged Mason. " Babe, I need to tell you about tomorrow, I have to tell my dad that you are a vampire"

"What the hell are you crazy? He will dust me with just the stake though the heart!" I explained. I started to pace around the room, why why why? I'm happy being Bliss the human at school but Mason grabbed me by the shoulders.

"It's ok Bliss! I have told him about you and he says only if she is truly peaceful!" He said.

Oh I was peaceful alright.

When I wanted to be.

I finally calmed down, I was part of the Pacem group maybe he would except me then I would tell my parents. For the rest of the night I calmed down all of us cousins and Mason watched Tv stuffing our faces with popcorn. After 2 hours Mason went home and I went to bed, I didn't know what to expect from a Vampire Hunter. I had never met one up close, I had only seen them in the distance. They had tried to take me away when I was little.

But something I was also scared about was that I hadn't mentioned Cole, every other day I would call him or he would call me. We kept it as friends, he still called me Babe yet didn't end it with I Love You anymore.

He didn't know about Mason either.

Yet he still rambled on about wanting to be 18 as soon as possible, wanting to come and find me. To be immortal, 18 forever he was waiting to move out and be with me.

I wished I could be 16 forever.

I woke up the next morning feeling great until a remembered I was seeing Masons farther, I was supposed to go round at 10 it was 8 when I woke up I decided on a lie in, once my lie in finished I got ready washing my hair until the colouring was unnoticeable.

Very hard process.

Soon it was 10 and I left quickly, Mason was standing outside I hugged him and we walked over to his place. His house was big but dark at the same time Mason rang the door and a large bulky man was standing there.

"Ah Mason this is your Vampire girlfriend? Hi I'm Nicholas and you must be Bliss!" The man said. He looked at me I could tell he was judging me by his eyes flickering.

We sat down on their sofa, I was afraid to be here but it didn't show.

"Bliss if I know Mason has told you that I am a vampire hunter, I am not impressed that he is one but he tells me you are different but how?" He questioned.

"Well I'm from the peace group, rarely drink blood but have to so I can have energy and I guess I am a different vamp that's all it is" I replied "My family or my grandpa runs the Pacem group, this will be passed on to my mother if my grandfather ever dies. Yet he is immortal. I will be when I turn 18"

"By the way Vampires are just the same as people so I don't appreciate that you go around killing my people, my great grandfather and his family were killed because of you" I said. I said it calmly so that I did sound aggressive.

"Well, after they turned Masons mother I had to seek revenge" Nicholas said to me. "So if you and Mason last until you are 18 and immortal what happens to my son!"

"Well what happens after will be our decision. If he wants me to bite him then I will, oh god il do it and you will never see your son again" I snapped "Oh yeah well killing the innocent is like killing your humans" I muttered.

"Ok let's change the subject!" Mason said.

I glared at Nicholas my fangs coming out, but my mouth was shut.

"Ok then, Bliss what would you like to be when you graduate?" Nicholas asked me.

I knew what I wanted to be my mind was all set, I'd take textiles with Faith then when Daria and Natalie have their own boutique we would be their designers.

"Well I'd like to go to college and then be a designer with my sister and cousins" I said, I didn't tell him the whole story of what I wanted to do in case he would question that. For the next hour we chatted we avoided my vampire life and managed to talk normally, then I started to like Nicholas. "But I will be 18 for a long time then. So within a few years my family will have to move, it's part of our rule. We can only stay in the same spot for up to 10 years with kids, 7 the latest"

But there was still some things that we had to discuss, my parents not knowing.

My parents not knowing about Cole either.

"Dad, theirs just one more thing I have to tell you about Bliss, her parents don't know that I'm with her and that our bond can bring Vampires and Humans together" Mason said.

"My parents would flip but we would like if you could meet mine and persuade them that I can be with Mason, please?" I pleaded.

I hoped he would say yes, but then if my parents so it was ok Nicholas would quit vampire hunting and hope that peace would commence. Then I would have my happily ever after, plus being a designer.

"You have to tell your parents first though then il come round" he replied.

For the rest of the day we all went for a walk, I learned about Mason and his dad his mother and farther loved him most dearly but when masons mother turned she ran away. Nicholas would consider if he gave up hunting is that he would open up his own bakery since his family have always dreamed of that but didn't have the money whereas Nicholas did.

When it was time for me to go I said goodbye to Nicholas and Mason walked me home, once we got to my house I waited for my cousins to let me in Mason kisses me and the cheek and said that if my parents said no he would still love me even if it was forbidden.

As we waited I noticed that all of my cousins including my sister was hidden behind the windows watching. They opened the door and laugher roared in, I kissed Mason goodnight and walked inside, I sat and the sofa then questions poured in I blanked them and just said.

"So can you two be together?" Daria asked.

"What's the house like?" Jett questioned.

"Is his Dad mean?" Ebony asked.

"Let's just say the Dillia family now except me and can let me be with Mason!" I said and I jumped up and high fives Faith.
