Chapter 23

Summer was fast approaching I couldn't believe it I spent 6 months at long beach High school in my junior year and now it was coming to an end. It was sad bit fun at the same time, 3 months of freedom I was so happy. We were turning into seniors well in 3 months,Natalie and Daria were going to college to study Textiles but staying at home.

Daria and Natalie have decided to open up a boutique here in Long Beach they haven't came up with the names yet but have found a perfect place. They will hand make the clothes themselves, Faith and I have decided to join them in their boutique working there soon and designing clothes.

"Happy nearly summer people!" Faith shouted coming down the stairs we had 2 weeks left of school and yet she said that now.

"There's two weeks left cousin you can say 'Happy Summer' when we finish school" Mara said brushing her hair in the mirror.

"She's got a point Faith" Vicky says to Faith.

"Who cares only two weeks left of school and when we go back we will be seniors!" I said. "We will be like, rulers of the school"

"When the freshmen come next year and see you I get they think she's the popular one. And her family is too" Vicky jokes.

I stick my tongue out and we all pile into the car.

I couldn't believe it myself, on the Saturday that is after the day we break up we are having a summer break party on the beach. It was gonna be a all day party and at night we were gonna have a bonfire and fireworks. I was so excited because it was only gonna be us at the beach as the school had a permit for us to go on the beach for our party.

"You know Bliss you met your guy at a party maybe I will too" Faith told me.

"You need a guy Faith, it will be our senior year and you won't have a boyfriend. How about Blake?" I ask.

"No!" She says "I couldn't pull off something you would do, take charge and all that shit. Plus I'm a crap kisser"

"So you want to kiss Blake? Il take down a mental note. I have his number so you can talk to him, for me?" I plead "Please! We could all double date! You, me, Mason and Blake"

"And afterwards you will go and run after Blake? And pretend you're me?"

"Deal, if he likes you I can get him to like you. With the power of twin ness, it might work"

"And you get an excuse to talk to Blake again"

I nodded in return, hopefully she will take things off with Blake and if they don't she could still find somebody. As we had jumped out of the car at school I saw a sign above our school gates the sign read,

'SUMMER BEACH BASH LONG BEACH

10AM ALL DAY

FIREWORKS,BONFIRE AND MUSIC

OPEN INVITE!'

Then underneath the sign there was a date 24th of June.

When I got out of the car I stared at the sign I couldn't wait, summer was here and I was ready to have summer fun.

"So Bliss are you gonna sing a song for us at the Bash?" Tina said as she saw us walking to class.

"I don't mean to pressure you Bliss but you have to sing there! It will be what everybody will talk about think about it a memory in the making" May said.

I said yeah to them because if I didn't I would have a Faith lecture and I think nobody likes a Faith lecture as they go on forever and won't give up until you either agree with her or tell her no. So I was pretty afraid of Faith and her lectures.

When we got to our first class all anybody could talk about was the Beach Bash what people were going to wear the snacks people were bringing, their outfits and extra marshmallows for the bonfire.

"Settle down class I know you are all excited about the Beach bash and summer break but we have two weeks left and the amount of time we have for a project!" Mr Granda said us. This would be a very long 2 weeks.

"You can't do that sir it's unfair we should be given some time off!" Masons jock friend Sam said.

"Well why don't you do a full 10 page project on why we should not be allowed to have homework so close to summer break for your project Mr Cania" Mr Granda said.

Everybody said oos in return but then we booed at having to do a project but we managed to circle around mr Granda and do a fun project which was Legends. Since he was our substitute history teacher he let us do any legend. They can be fun and we can do them in groups of five, so it was Me,Faith, Mason,Vicky and Ria.

We were going to do the Hybrid Human this was an old Vampire legend about a human and a vampire who fell in love and had a hybrid child. When child grew up they had a family but had to run away because they were half human and half vampire and not belonging to either of human and vampire communities.

"That sounds like a movie" Vicky said as Ria went up to grab some extra paper "Or like you two, if you ever have a kid who's half vamp make sure they don't run away"

"My father would kill me if I had a child at 17" He says.

When I told Ria and Mason about this legend they were very intrigued, it was very rare that humans knew about this legend because it was said to be true. Ria couldn't know this was true so we carried on about the stories the whole lesson.

"If we get an A+ on this project I will be over the moon!" Ria said as we walked out of class. "How about we go round to your house Bliss since you 3 know so much about this legend maybe your parents know a thing or two about this legend"

We said yes and got cracking on the project that we managed to finish it over a week and we a week to spare. Since it was done I could focus on the Bash and get some songs written, this was going to be the party if the year.
